I would love some constructive criticism, what to change, anything really.. especially from John.

My eating habits are like these examples

Breakfast:

2 eggs / piece of wheat bread OR 1/3 cup couscous and a small saucer of cottage cheese

Snack 1: Apple OR orange OR rice cake

Snack 2: Can of lite tuna OR suacer of cottage cheese, maybe a fruit if I didn't have one for snack 1

Dinner: 2 average sized boiled chicken breasts, some green beans

Snack: rice cake or 2, an orange, SOMETIMES a small bowl of cereal or low fat jello

Exercising: Day one:

After breakfast:

Lifting/arms
25 minutes on treadmill (2 miles)

Hour or 2 after dinner:

Lower body/legs
15 minutes on stationary bike

Exercising: Day two:

Afer breakfast:

Mid section/abs
15 minutes on stationary

After dinner:
25 minutes on treadmill (2 miles)

I alternate between the 2.

Thanks. Trying to loose 35 lbs by late May.

Sure, I'll see if I can help, my answers below in blue:

*Times of all meals would be helpful*
Breakfast:

2 eggs / piece of wheat bread OR 1/3 cup couscous and a small saucer of cottage cheese

You could try just egg whites for protien rather than the whole egg, maybe 3-4 egg whites.

Snack 1: Apple OR orange OR rice cake

Try to incorporate more nutrients i.e. protien/ healthy fats. How about a serving of almonds with your apple. (almonds=good fats)

Snack 2: Can of lite tuna OR suacer of cottage cheese, maybe a fruit if I didn't have one for snack 1

Is this your lunch? If so you need more calories!!! More protien and low GI carbs!

Dinner: 2 average sized boiled chicken breasts, some green beans

Looks good. although a huge meal compared to what else you've eaten throughout the day

Snack: rice cake or 2, an orange, SOMETIMES a small bowl of cereal or low fat jello

Hmm..this meal is not so good. You def. want to avoid fruit before going to bed while cutting as it's mostly sugars. I would also suggest no carbs before bed as your body probably does not need them. How about a slow digesting protien, like cottage cheese.

ALSO: You look like you're barley consuming any calories. How much do you weigh? Eating the proper amount of calories is vital to weight loss. Once we know your weight we can help with the macronutrient breakdown...

Hope this helps. Give us a bit more info and we can go into more detail.

Thanks.

Breakfast: 10:30am
Snack one: 1:30pm
Snack two: 3:30pm
Dinner: 6:30pm
Snack three: 8:00-9:00pm

I weigh 205.

What are some good lite things or slow proteins for snack three?
What are low GI carbs? What does GI mean?

Conventional wisdom says you need about 2000 calories a day, I don't think you are getting that.

GI = Glycemic Index You should avoid high glycemic foods like white bread and other processed flour products, and eat low GI ones that are whole grains [not processed], my favorite log GI food is whole oats [like old fashioned Quaker Oats in the US], mmm. Others can explain further but basically low GI foods digest slower thus stay with you longer and help maintain a more steady blood sugar level.

Thanks. I'm trying to lose weight as fast as the body allows, so shouldn't that 2000 be cut down quite a bit? I'm not starving myself or anything, I eat when i'm hungry. Is this the reason I keep hitting plateaus, i'm not getting enough calories?
