Today I went to GNC and checked out what they had. An employee recommended 'Nitro-Tech Advanced Whey Protein'.

I was wondering if I made a good decision on purchasing it.

Heres more info on it:

I picked up the 4 lbs. one.

I really want something that will help me in both, burn fat and help me gain muscle faster. But I don't think theres one like that.

I haven't opened Nitro-Tech yet since I wanted to know some of your opinions before I use it.

Thanks!

It is my belief that ALL muscletech products are ridiculously overpriced. I could've purchased 10 lbs. of quality whey for the money you spent on 4 lbs. of nitro-tech and got change back.

After looking over the supplement facts, its look like you just purchased Simple whey protein. Yet, I have no idea what SynthePro, Insulogen, and Nitroxen are for, it seems only Muscletech adds this to their product.Though you can't forget the "advance", that’s just a marketing technique, kind of like the extreme phase. Take a simple product, slap extreme on it, and its now worth double the price!

Maybe this person at GNC just got some commission of selling this product and was pushing it.

All the Whey has my vote for the best product. Cheap prices, (relatively) good taste, good quality protein.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to return it I guess.

What's a good supplement you guys/gals recommend? It would be great if the supplement helped me in both, burning fat and gaining muscle. If there isn't anything like that, let me know what you recommend doing first, cutting fat or working out for muscle and what supplements would help me or whatever.

Thanks.

You need to get your daily nutrition in order first, where you are eating 5-6 small meals a day. Clean protein, carb, and healthy fat sources. Otherwise, no supplement of any kind is going to do much at all. You also need to train on a regular basis. Consistancy in diet and workouts will help build your base. As you learn how to do this, supplementation will become clearer for you understand, as to how it will "supplement" your nutrition and training.
