Just wanted to say how invaluable it seems to be to track your food intake...duh, right? Well I have lost right at 27 pounds since December 2004. At first I was tracking everything I ate, and got to a point in March of this year where I thought I had a good idea of where I needed to be at each meal and could track in my mind (so I thought) my calorie intake and macros. So basically I got lazy and thought I could ditch the tedious daily tracking. Well, recently I hit a "plateau" so to speak and haven't lost any weight for about 3-4 weeks...at all. I am still about 10 pounds away from hitting my goal for this "slow cut" so I was beginning to get frustrated. Yesterday I decided to start tracking what I ate again, and even though the calories were within range, my macros were yesterday and are again today WAY OFF. I ended the day yesterday with ratios of 37/26/37 and so far today I am at 27/46/27 which are both, in my mind, awful! I find it hard to believe that even being so conscious about what I eat, that I am still that far off...makes me wonder how terrible I must have eaten before, and how easy it would be to fall back into those eating patterns if I didn't track it. Obviously I need to go back to the daily tracking. I really am floored by this. OK, thats my rant for the day...now back to work....

And my point for this...If you aren't meeting your goals...go back to the basics! :tu:
