here's what i think i know.
Maltodextrin is a HIGH GI COMPLEX carb.
high GI usually causes an insulin spike, but complex carbs will usually release insulin gradually throughout a longer period of time?
contradiction?

Don't know that it's a contradiction. But malto does act very differently than typical complex carbs. Whatever it's properities, it for some reason acts very similarly to dextrose and fast-acting simple carbs. I'm not sure why. Makes it good for PWO. Bad for people who think they can treat it like oatmeal.

Here is one that will blow your mind, MILK PROTEINS (YES, WHEY IS ONE) CAUSE AN INSULIN SPIKE!
Point: Don't worry about it. Avoid overly processed simple sugars when possible and don't sweat the small stuff!
