I am new to this thing so help me out. Let me start off by saying I am 21 years old and I am hoping to lose 8 pounds at the latest by septmeber. I have been on a diet for two weeks now and have been working out but I am not seeing the results I had hoped for I did lose 5 pounds of water weight from the get go. Here is the diet I have been following. Maybe I am not eating enough calories but if I am not what should I add. I am open to any suggestions because I am determined to lose this weight. I am 5'4 and weigh 138 currently my goal weight is 120 but like I said before I hope to lose 8 pounds in the near future. I hope to tone up and eventually lose body fat, I don't know what my body fat % is. My workout consists of fasted exercise right away in the morning usually fast paced walking for 50-60 minutes. I also do weights at the gym between 2-4 times a week. The following is the diet I have been following:

meal #1
2 whole eggs, 3 egg whites

meal #2
fat free yogurt
1 oz. almonds

meal #3
2 chicken tenders
banana

meal #4
can tuna
cheese stick

meal #5 depends but this is what I ate yesterday
2 chicken tenders
1 ear of corn
1/4 cup of rice

the totals are:

carbs 99.9 grams = 38%
protein 125 grams = 48%
fat 35.75 grams = 14%

Thanks again for reading this long thing and I am open to any suggestions because I really need some help before I get discouraged and lose my motivation.

I found I stalled really fast at 1500 cals/day (my lbm is more than yours though), so I think slowly decreasing your calories might work better. I started losing fat when I upped my calories a little, being careful to stay in caloric defecit and making sure to eat clean and exercise. By setting the deadline you have, you might end up losing 10 lbs, but do you really want to lose 10 lbs of body weight or 10 lbs of fat? ;)

Also, That looks like a lot more than 12% fat to me. More fat would not be bad, just thinking there is some miscalculation. What exactly are chicken tenders and how are they prepared?

COBRA

40% Protein / 40% Carbohydrate / 20% Fat
CALORIES (daily) = 1380

PROTEIN = 552(calories) (Which Equals) 138g

CARBOHYDRATES = 552 (Which Equals) 138g

TOTAL FAT = 276 (Which Equals) 31g

Some good Carbohydrate sources:
rice,pasta,potatoes,yams,oatmeal,marrowfat peas,raisins,fruit,wheat cereals,carbohydrate powder.

Protein:
tuna,steak,chicken,turkey,ham,eggs(remove yolks),protein powder.
(remove any skin or fat from above products)

Fat:
31g of fat(daily) will be inclusive of what you consume from above^ Check nutritional information for each product, then piece together your daily layout accordingly.

If weight goes up just reduce daily intake by 200 calories(i.e. -100 from carbs & prot) and so forth.

Stick with it,you'll get there. :nod: :db: Good luck!!

Chicken tenders are part of a chicken they come in smaller piece than breasts do, basically it is like eating two chicken fingers that is the size of them. I prepare them on the George Foreman grill.
