In the last 7 months I’ve lost close to 50 lbs but I’ve been stuck at around 180 for the last few months. My bf% could definitely be lower.

I have been doing HIT weight lifting 3 days a week and have noticed more muscle gain and definition and I’m getting stronger. I’m wondering if my weight isn’t changing much because I could be adding muscle. I stopped doing most cardio because it didn’t seem to have any effect lately on my weight loss. I’m probably going to start doing more cardio again with a punching bag.

My diet is mostly clean but I’m going to work on getting higher amounts of protein and maybe more vegetables. I have been eating 1800 calories a day for a while. I wanted to know if bumping it up to 2000 calories would be a good idea since it might increase my metabolism and help build more muscle.

increasing your calories will definetely kick start your metabolism.

You didn't mention how you eat. How many meals are those 1800 calories spread over? Are you eating the normal 3x? What exactly are you eating that is "clean"?

Thanks for the responses everyone.

I usually have 5 meals a day sometimes 6 every 3 hours. What I eat usually includes things like chicken, whole wheat bread and pitas and English muffins, egg whites, fruit, vegetables, ground turkey, lean meat, dreamfields pasta (only 5 grams of digestible carbs a serving), subway, olive oil, brown rice, salad with low calorie dressing, fat free mozzarella and cheddar cheese, malt-o-meal hot cereal, sugar free chocolate pudding with natural peanut butter and protein powder, and protein bars.

Looks ok to me. I would have to agree with doordude42. Try increasing your cal intake with more clean food and see what happens. Don't get too down, this things happen. I was at 172 for a LONG time. Then it seemed to drop over night with some slight eating changes.
