Myotape is a neat little gadget but that's just what it is. Any standard flexible vinyl measuring tape will work while costing only a fraction of the myotape. Just visit any fabric store and they'll have it. Or you can use just a plain ol' piece of string/cord and measure your dimensions against a meter stick. :tucool:

I been using a vinyl measuring tape and it works perfect...

I am getting a myotape next week though because I bought some body fat calipers on ebay and they came bundled... It wasnt expensive either.

Anyone who bought a MyoTape from bodybuilding.com, does your tape start off just a little before "2". I order a MyoTape from bodybuilding.com and it just came today. I was looking at the tape and noticed it starts just a little before 2 like two little lines before 2... The white knob like this

[]' ' 2|

thats how it is... is this how its suppose to be? why doesnt it start off before 1...????

is this how its suppose to be? why doesnt it start off before 1...???? Yours is fine, mine is the same way. The manufacturer knows that if you use it as intended (lil peg in the slot, etc.) there's a 2" gap between the "start" and "end" of the tape. So the tape starts at 2".

Note: that's probably not 2 linear inches, but 2 inches measured given the arc connecting the two points.

Either way, it's correct: get an "old fashioned" tape measure and check for yourself!

Hi, I wonder if the myoTape from Bodybuilder.com also has the metric system? I think it would be hard to translate the "inch" each time you want to measure...

It will cost $15 to ship the myoTape to Sweden, do anyone know any cheaper place to order from, when you live outside US?

they have them at GNC but they are kinda overpriced there. bodybuilding.com has them for a good price.

Ok, I think that $15 is a good price for the myoTape anyway so I will order it from bodybuilder.com, but how about the metric system?

efk and U2rocks: Thanks for your help, then I will order a MyoTape :)
I think I will skip the caliper, I understand that it is hard to use...

My $.02: I ordered the Myotape from bb.com a few weeks ago. It is really easy to use and for the price, I highly recommend it. I felt like I could get more accurate, consistent results, since it puts a little spring tension into the tape. It's not a necessity, by any means, but a nifty little gadget.

Anyone know where you can buy/order myotape in Canada? I hate paying customs charges when I order stuff from the States.

I also got mine from bb.com, great price very fast shipping. It was, however broken upon receiving it. The end that fits into the actual myotape (to hold it into place) was separated into two halves. I should have returned it. I now use a small zip-tie to hold it together.

I was shopping in the mall and saw that GNC had myotape for $3.95 so I bought one. Then on the way home I passed by a yard sale and decided to stop as I saw three benches on display. I already have a bench but I ended up buying 2 45lb oly plates for $5.00. I'm thinking of going back and buying some 35's and 10's. I could also use another bar. Pretty good day of bargain shopping! :tucool:
