themuss Mon, July 18th, 2005, 06:38 AM Hey everyone,
As you might know, I'm a cricket tragic, just wanted to know if there were any other cricket tragics in here, if so I am going to start a Cricket thread, more importantly, an Ashes 2005 thread. If anyone is also interested, I'm trying out for representative cricket this year also, and may start a journal, but yeah thats if anyone cares.

The Poms are shaking in their boots now, Aussie 4-0 is my tip, have to allow for some rain over there
Xander Mon, July 18th, 2005, 04:50 PM Sorry not a cricket fan but I absolutly love Rugby. Close enough? Actually I have never seen an entire cricket game due to the fact that they don't show cricket games here in the U.S. I would like to watch one sometime though.
JK2005 Mon, July 18th, 2005, 08:32 PM Hi from a cricket fan :tu:
Its been a while since I played though :)
The Ashes, well Oz is gonna rock - no doubts about that
aheyn01 Mon, July 18th, 2005, 08:52 PM Love the sport. Although lately its really been a drag to watch, specially when Aus are playing .. too one-sided. Hopefully England are going to show them a thing or two - hahah, I loved seeing Bang beat Aus!!! That was just a classic ...
I hope the Champions Trophy will be good this year - Sri Lanka all the way!!
Proctorjc Mon, July 18th, 2005, 11:35 PM Red & Rover for July 18, 2005 (http://www.comics.com/wash/redandrover/archive/redandrover-20050718.html)
Maybe some of you read the comics... Maybe I should not waste bandwidth... But Red & Rover oftimes make my day so much better...
JK2005 Tue, July 19th, 2005, 11:22 AM loved seeing Bang beat Aus
I missed that one :) but I'm sure that must have been one of the biggest shocks to Oz :)

yogro Sun, July 24th, 2005, 03:41 PM Well, well, look at that Australia has wrapped up the first test to take a convincing 1-0 lead in the Ashes series...as i saw one place report it, "new faces, same results"... i know i am probably sounding cocky but who cares the Aussies are on a rampage at the ashes... the pommes had to call in their 12th man first, their 12th man being the rain!!!
so to all fellow Aussies out there AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE!!!
JK2005 Mon, July 25th, 2005, 04:22 PM yeah man Oz rocks!!
Haircut Sun, August 7th, 2005, 08:47 AM Just thought I'd bump this on behalf of any England fans :D

how good was that damn game
sad about the result though, although makes for an interesting series (stick a draw in there due to rain seems inevitable) and this series will go right down to the wire with the last game deciding the outcome of the series.

true now that the rain has given its required assistance, lets watch some cricket. either team could win it from here, but it is most likely to end a draw

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, so we should with any luck, although the weather here changes more often than J-Lo switches husbands, get a full day of cricket.
I'm still hoping for an Aussie win, but I think you're right, she'll end up a draw.
Haircut Mon, August 15th, 2005, 03:13 PM :(
We should really have won that - especially after getting Ponting out.

I'm so sorry, not!!!!!
What a relief, I was late for the gym because I had to watch til the bitter end, I have no fingernails left, and the cat hates me from all the yelling at the tv screen.
I really thought Glen McGrath was a goner in that last over.
JK2005 Mon, August 15th, 2005, 08:53 PM Was tracking the score till 8 overs were left...and then had to go for lunch. Somehow I knew they would pull off those last 8 - and they did :)
