Carrie35 Tue, July 12th, 2005, 10:03 AM how much does one cost? like for a package? I got a package of 5 sessions for about $298.....I hire a trainer once every 6 months or so to get support, motivation and new workouts. bradh Tue, July 12th, 2005, 11:04 AM My brother just bought a package of 45 sessions for $2000. :d_eek: :d_eek: He could of got certified has one for less than that. Of course he would of had to study hard. One site i looked at to write an exam it was like $600 or $700 and the textbook was $70 i believe. You pass your a certified PT. I could be wrong but that's what i got from the site. No in house instruction either all home study but you might have to travel to take the exam. You're only 15, so I would check around your area and try to find a youth performance specialist, they work routines around the fact that you're body is still growing and needs to meet certain criteria, which is knowledge that you won't usually find in a basic CPT. I used to work at a private studio which also had a youth trainer and her going rate was $70/hr which progressively got lower if you signed up for more sessions, but like I said, prices have way too many variables and the best thing for you is to search around your neighborhood. Jaybird Tue, July 12th, 2005, 12:58 PM At least where I live, many of the gyms let you pay per workout with a trainer, and it's usually around $25 for the 30 minute workout. 1FastGTX Tue, July 12th, 2005, 01:38 PM My brother just bought a package of 45 sessions for $2000. Actually for a GOOD trainer that price is not bad at all. 45 hands-on sessions is really a lot. wrkout Tue, July 12th, 2005, 08:18 PM how much does one cost? like for a package? $25 upwards to $125 or more depending on the experience and background of the trainer, the gym/facility (some will train you at your house). Geographic loction is a big portion too, for ex. on the west coast (where I worked before here) you'll probably be paying more than in the midwest, etc. Also usually if you do a package deal (buy more than one session) it's cheaper... or if you do semi-private (train with a friend at the same time) it can also bring the cost down. ALWAYS check on the credentials and background of the trainer. I say it's worth it to pay more for someone who has the credentials and experience... it is your body, after all. -Amie |
