Hi There!
Lately I seem to be getting headaches after I spin for 45min. I drink plenty liquids during and after exercise. Could it be that I am over exerting myself?

hi
i took my first spinning class yesterday. During it, i felt like i was going to toss my cookies! i now know you shouldn't eat before hand!! i wasn't expecting to do a class.
was it too hot in the room?? my instructor said, if something hurts, stop..so maybe you pushed too hard..
it was hard as hell, but i'm going to do it again!!

it's a class where you all ride stationary bikes!

try taking on electrolytes before during and after and you will probably feel better. (gatorade)

I always get a headache when I really kill myself with cardio and it's hot. I remember in particular one time I was playing paintball for about 3 hours. I was incredibly well hydrated and still felt like HELL afterwards. A couple of summers ago I went cycling. I was fitter than most of the guys I went with and better hydrated (including gatorade) but by the end of the ride (4 hours in scorching heat) I felt like balls. My dad says he gets the same thing when working in heat like doing tons of hard gardening or something.

It's something I have to live with sometimes so maybe you do to? :( normally, especially if you stay hydrated, it won't be too bad and it's never really hurt my ability to do whatever exercise I wanted.

Spinning can be intense (I should know, I teach it, haha) so if your diet is too low in carbs/calories you could be getting a headache from that. It could be dehydration as well. Any other symptoms besides the headache? Does it subside after drinking water and/or eating?

It could even be something untrelated, for example if the music is loud or the bass is too high, some students have gotten headaches from that, too.
