hey guys/girls i was wondering im at about 12-13% body fat and hate doing cardio. I have done cardio 4 days a week to get to this point but i have maybe 5 lbs of that stubborn fat i would like to loose still. My question is do i keep doing cardio and lifting weights along with eating healthy OR could I cut out the cardio and lift hard 4 times a week while eating healthy??? What would be the better plan to get rid of that fat in about a months time? IF you need more info i will post. Thanks in advance guys :tucool:

What kind of cardio are you doing? When are you doing it? Before lifting, after? On non-lifting days? In the morning and then weights in the evening?

I have successfully cut a lot of fat with no cardio other than walking my dog.

But getting really low bodyfat took a lot of work for me. I think it's just genetics I suppose, at least once I get into the really low bodyfat digits. It took a lot of cardio for me to drop under the 8% range. I was doing cardio 6 days a week, 8 hours from my weight lifting, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (I drank 1/2 cup of coffee and some water before the cardio though).

The type of cardio I am doing is basketball I was running for 40 min outsdie but I find basketball more enjoyable to do, and now that I am at 12%bf I wanna know if my cardio will have to be more intense or less. I am doing it on non lifting days ussaly in the afternoon. I lift mon, wed, fri, sun, and play basketball tue, thurs, sat. So back to running at 60% max heart rate, back to playing basketball or cut out cardio and lift more? Thanks for your reply,

Well, I do agree in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," however I think he's wanting to lose fat faster and might be at a plateau (??).

Yes, Mom is from NC and she can cook her butt off. We always had good food, and rarely ate desserts. Probably doesn't hurt that my mom was still sporting a 6-pack and vascularity at the age of 50 either, or that she ran on the boys track team in high school (they didn't have women's track then!) (Note that I ran a 4.5 40 in high school, and only beat her in a race ONCE!). Dad was competing nationally in diving and gymnastics, and my mom says that it was his huge pecs and quads that turned her on from the beginning. Too bad I didn't get those pecs, but I did get the delts. :)

If I can find my tape measure I'll let you know, it's around here somewhere....

PS Thanks for the kind words!

No, cause dad had a ripped set of abs in college...I didn't get those!

Arms are measuring approx. 17.5 cold and flexed by the way. Left arm slightly bigger than right. Arms are a weak point for my physique. Delts, calves, traps, forearms, and SOMEWHAT back are all decent, while chest, abs, biceps, and upper legs are lagging.

I think we've severely derailed this thread! Sorry guys.

No doubt God blessed me...but I put in some work too!!!! :p

What's your bf at? Go ahead and bulk if you want to. It's fun! :D

EDIT: actually it's really not that fun. Steak 3 times per day, forcing yourself to eat more and more, it's actually getting rather annoying now.
