I've currently finished the first 8 weeks of the Max-OT program. I love it so far and I've never felt better. I'm supposed to take the next week off but I really don't want to. My body doesn't feel tired and I definitely don't need the week off for a pychological boost. However, I'm reluctant to "disobey" a program that has worked so well for me thus far.
So, I'm trying to decide whether to take the week off or not. In the long run, I plan on taking a week off every 8 weeks. However, since I've just started, it feels so unnecessary. I'd like to hear what other people have done at this point in their Max-OT program and the various pros/cons.

Take it off. If you've been doing it right, your body is badly in need of a break.

That's part of my dilemma. I am definitely doing it right now, but it took a few weeks to really find the right weights for the program. That is, I started a bit too light and only really killed myself in the gym for the last 5 weeks or so.
After another 8 weeks of this, I'd have to take a break but right now, I just want to keep going . . .

Max-OT Training (Maximum Overload Training)
The Max-OT Basics
7. Take A 1 Week Break From Training Every 8 To 10 Weeks.
It sounds like you just finished week 7. If you really feel you don't need to take a break so soon, you could keep training and take week 10 off.

I'm doing the 6-month plan outlined at the end of the Max-OT document. It has the workout broken into 4-week periods, with a week off after every 8 weeks. I'm at the end of my 8th week.
