Wondering if anybody has kciked around with HOT-ROX instead of an ECA. Im always a bit skeptical of BIOTEST because they push their own products SOOOO strongly.

Thanks

P.S. its a fat burner, much like ephedra and caffeine

Yes, I picked up a bottle a few weeks ago from the local nutrition depot. I purchased Hot Rox, the regular ones, for $40. I believe now they sell the Maximum Strength Hot Rox, which I haven't tried.

I've never used a thermo before so I don't have anything to compare it to. They gave me a ton of energy, and I had trouble sleeping the first night but I started to adjust after a few days. I quit taking them after about two weeks because, well it seems silly, but I really enjoy drinking coffee (black) in the morning and I had to give that up while taking the Hot Rox to avoid caffeine overload. They also had kind of a mediciney feeling that accompanied them that I didn't care for. One good thing is that they worked well as an appetite suppressant.

I can't say that they helped me burn any extra fat, in fact I've been making greater progress since I stopped taking them. But this is probably due to increased cardio and better nutrition.

Good luck whatever you decide to do, personally I have a half-empty bottle and I won't take them again... and I most likely won't take any thermo again.

Never tried Hot Rox but i've tried a shitload of others. Never did much for me. I recently began using an ECA stack (bronchaid) before my AM cardio. That kicks it into high gear.Other thermos don't compare.

I've tried a number of similar supps but not Hot Rox. I usually recommend getting real E, C, and A instead as it's so much cheaper and usually the same thing. I'd have to double-check Hot Rox ingredients however because I assume there are other ingredients.

The one product I did like was the original Ripped Fuel. The reason was that it contained LESS Ephedra than most brands I tried (Stacker, Hydroxycut, Up Your Gas, Thermadrine, etc. -- yes I tried a lot lol). 25mg of Ephedra was just too much and made me feel way too jittery. Ripped Fuel was 10mg per capsule, serving size was 2 capsules, so I just took one and it was a perfect amount for me.

Anyway this is all moot since the original Ripped Fuel is gone (may come back with the new laws on ephedra?)

For the money, it completely sucks. SAN Tight is way better.

There are way better alternatives than either.

Truthfully most of the non E/C/A stuff just isnt close.

Look for Ephedrine HCL. Vasopro is one brand. Then get your aspirin and caffeine. That will be way cheaper than HOTROX and way, way, bettter.

BUT

Anything like these fat burners are not to be taken lightly. They will make maybe only a 3% difference truthfully.

Get some green tea extract. Its cheap, proven, not a miracle drug, but its had some really good science that it does a ton of good things for you.

HIIT is gonna drop a whole lot more fat than any product like that.

Meaning you've used Hot-rox? What was your diet and training like during it? My personal take is that fat burners function best to help retain lean muscle while losing fat. Not as much as a great aid for losing fat itself.

Yep. Tried it. Probably have tried every thermogenic out there.

I think you are probably correct in that the value is more likely in the muscle sparing than actual fat burning.

I track my progress pretty good, and weeks I took off and was using had almost no loss at all. We are talking an effect of 150 calories in a day. That isn't a whole lot.

I do understand that some people like to take something that may only be a 1-3% product. Keeps em motivated.

I won't direct you away. In its class, Hot Rox is a poor performer. And way to expensive. Shop around, you can do way better.
