Hey John.
In the photo gallery, I'm noticing that people are timing their picture updates with the end of the month. It seems that when this happens, one of the threads gets hot, and is continually bumped up, and the others tend to get buried. Unfortunately, the buried threads aren't getting as much honest assessment and words of encouragement - and we know how brave people have to be to post (I haven't been brave enough myself yet).
Perhaps on your morning message, you could highlight some of these buried transformations in progress?

Hey John.
In the photo gallery, I'm noticing that people are timing their picture updates with the end of the month. On the surface I like the idea, and I do mention select transformations on occasion in my daily update... the problem is I'm afraid that some feelings could be hurt if A) I didn't feature someone's post and B) if I featured someone and they didn't get many replies for whatever reason.

Frankly I'm of the opinion that it's up to each person to keep their thread interesting and updated. Doing so will keep it fresh and on the front page. There has to be some natural mechanism to let old threads die off because there is no way to keep EVERYONE on the top page at once.

Thanks for the suggestion, I hope you understand my reasoning. :)
