What are your opinions on this gel like Yohimburn? Has anyone used them?
There are some topical fat-burning gels that, while not proven, most likely do have some effects. Products like Lipoderm and Absolved have significant amounts of anecdotal testimony from users who have tried them and believe they work.

But then, so does testosterone supplementation and steroids.

But now I'm going to back off from that comparison a bit, because it's grossly unfair.

The topical fat burning gels that do work have components that are similar in nature to pro-hormones (they may technically be classified as prohormones, though I don't think so - if they are, it would be a mistake, they have far far fewer side effects), which are illegal in some countries. That being said, compared to a lot of things, these gels seem to be fairly safe.

I wouldn't recommend them if you're under 21 years old though.

The ones that aren't built like this really don't work. Think about it - otherwise, how is rubbing cream into your skin going to reduce fat? When it comes to products that aren't FDA regulated (and none of the the supplements we talk about are) common sense is king. No one is going to protect your money except yourself.

I have a general rule that if it sounds easy and too good to be true, it usually doesn't work.

Just once, I'd love to be wrong about that! :)

There's already an old thread about this. Anyways, all they do is temporarily get rid of a little surface water retention.

IMO, It's like fiddling around cheap equipment or those belts that "stimulate" your ab muscles using the minuscule power of two flashlight batteries - far beyond laughable....
