Hello, I'm helping some friends out by calculating their BMR's and throwing together a workout and diet plan for them. My friend is 6' tall and weights around 265Lbs. I know that the appropriate Protein intake for someone relatively inshape is 1g-.8g per Lbs of bodyweight. How should I go about calculating his protein intake? 265g of Protein is just to much, keep in mind the exersises I'm giving him will not be over strenuous at first. ;)

Thanks for all your help!
Nate

I think you should base it on his lean body weight, not total weight including fat.
