My wife just bought selecttech dumbbells for me as a present. The good things about this set of dumbbells (which everyone who saw it or read about it might know already) are
1. Very easy to chage the weights~ it takes only (2-3 seconds)
2. save alot of space when compares to those dozen of hex dumbbells
well.. I can't think of any more good things about it.
but ofcourse there are some bad things about this product too
1.many parts of it made of plastic and (in my opinion) those parts are very important too~ like the parts which hold the plates together are made of plastic. Which make me wonder how long it's gonna last~ I know that it's not like I will drop or slam my dumbbells hard on the floor. but u know~ accident can happen.
2.the dumbbells are kinda too big for it's weight~ (especially too wide) when you perform some exercise it could give u awkward feeling.
3.the weight is not right. I compare its weight with my hex dumbbells and my old stlye adjustable weight dumbbells (40, 45 and 50lbs) the selecttech dumbbells is about 2.5-3lbs lighter. which make me kinda disappointed.
4.my wife said it took about 1 month to delivery (she called customer services every week. and they kept saying "I'm sorry we don't have it in our inventory yet~ but we'd have it in next week" every week!
so anyone who considers about buying selecttech dumbbells should think about it twice.
