what kind of food should i be eating before and after i lift? Also before and after cardio? I usualy wake up eat some oatmeal and go to the gym come home and eat a can of tuna, a half cup of cottage cheese, and a banana. I've heard you should only have protien before and after cardio and for lift days should have protein and carbs before and after. Should i skip on the oatmeal and banana for those meals on cardio days?

My opinion:
PRE-WEIGHTS:
Protein/Carbs
POST-WEIGHTS:
Protein/Carbs (this is my day's biggest carb-meal)
PRE-CARDIO:
Nothing
POST-CARDIO:
Nothing, or only protein and fat
This is what I like; you will get many opinions and thoughts and all make valid points.

My opinion is yes, skip the oatmeal and banana on the cardio workouts.
