But i've just seen flooring on ebay, what do you think of this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7166124947&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:UK:1#ebayphotohosting Also, found this mat, under Mats & Matting they have a panelite mat http://www.ceetex.co.uk/ceetex.htm clawdad Sun, July 10th, 2005, 07:14 AM I don't live in the US so I wouldn't be able to get that. If you go to mats, down near the bottom, it has a mat listed for weight rooms. It is right above the cycling mats. www.ceetex.co.uk/ceetex.htm Clawdad freddyaudiophile Fri, July 22nd, 2005, 01:39 PM Another place you might want to look is a place that installs pools (either above ground or in-ground). Living in a province that has a large agriculture industry, I must have called every farm supply store in the phone book and I was quoted $65 Canadian for a 3/4" thick 4'x6' rubber mat, weighing roughly 100 lbs each. One place I called did not have any mats in stock but told me to try this guy who installs pools. I called him and sure enough, he's got them and cheap -- only $30 each. Since he puts in a pool a week or so, he goes through quite a lot of them, as he puts them underneath the pool and along the sides as well (from what he told me). He buys them by the tractor-trailer load so he gets them really cheap and always has lots of them. After telling him that I was going to use them to cover my concrete floor in my basement to setup some weight equipment, he mentioned that he'd pick them over to see that the ends all line up, etc. $30 a piece (no tax) is a steal IMO... freddy |
