This is something I've been contemplating about for awhile. I'm not sure what it could possibly be.
I am overweight, have been for a few years now. However, I excessively sweat and it's absolutely terrible. I do excercise, but it still occurs.
Infact, even as I type this thread right now I'm sweating, it's a bit hot in my room right now. There could be times where I'm doing absolutely nothing and I'll sweat. How natural is this? Are some people just born to excessively sweat? Is there some relation to being overweight?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've also been aware of sweating what seems like a lot - as well as feeling very uncomfortable with the heat in the gym (when other people seemed baffled by my insistance that it was too hot). Sometimes I'd have droplets of sweat on my face just entering the gym and before I even did anything, and my trainer would ask if I'd been already warming up or something, and he'd be surprised when I said that I am only sweating because (to me) it is too damned hot.
On the other hand, I think this may be happening less now, and perhaps my feeling too hot and sweating a lot was aggravated by my weight.

I wouldnt worry about it too much. But yes I can understand where you are coming from, some people just sweat more than others, and theres nothing we can do about it. I can't really give you any advice on why this is happening, but should ask how much water are you drinking? I drink heaps of water (at least 5-10 litres a day) and I sweat a fair bit when I exercise, its just the body getting rid of excess toxins and water weight. I like sweating, makes me feel my metabolism is on the go, mind you if I'm in a room of crowded girls its a bit weird

Also, depending on your area, the humidity could be a problem

were you as sweaty before you gained weight?
if you've always been sweaty, then it could be a condition called hyperhidrosis. You'd have to talk to your doctor about treatment.
but most of us have noticed that the heavier you are, the more you sweat. maybe being more 'spherical' just dissipates body heat less?

Not that you necessarily have it, but keep in mind there's a recognized medical problem consisting of excessive sweating.
