Ok curious as to if I have it. Im 15 and I work out alot...but I still have some fat on my body....and along with it...small manboobs. I should say they have downsized but considering I dont have ALOT of bodyfat I am worrying if I have it. I felt something behind the nipple but not RIGHT behind it but it is a little lumpyish. Im to embarrassed to ask my mom for an appointment for my doctor to check it out...and plus if I have it I cant have surgery because im 15 and i dont have money...is there any way I can make sure I have it without a doctor checking it and is there any treatment OTHER than surgery? Please help...I dont want to be a social loser in high school lol...

Swallow your pride and ask for an appointment. As far as I know, surgery is the only way to correct it. There may be preventive measures your doctor could give you, but I don't know any.

Ditto.

You're going to encounter much more difficult things in your life. You need to learn to confide in those close to you.

From my reading on other forums it seems like the vast majority of people who think they have this really just have some fat on their chests. It's hard for us to tell from just reading what you wrote though.

There are supplements and prescription drugs out there that SUPPOSIDLY help with this (Rebound XT) but I have had no experience with them. I think the only known, accurate fix for this is surgery.

If you are really worried about telling your mom, tell her you just want a regular checkup, then ask the doctor yourself when you're there (assuming your mom isn't in the room with you).
