Okay, so I'm trying to find a way to improve my ration from 65/15/20 carbs/protein/fat to around the 40/40/20 mark. I've looked at the sorts of foods we have, and something I can maintain over a long period and have come up with the following:

(all meals come in at around 40/40/20 and 400 cals, except the first which is about 60/30/10, and the last which will vary by day)

meal 1: cereal & soya milk
meal 2: Pita bread & Tofu
meals 3 & 4: Tuna, 1 whole boiled egg, chestnut (brown) mushrooms, tomatoes, quinoa
meal 5: chicken, mushrooms, rice
meal 6: protein shake - powder with either soya milk or fruit juice.

I'm concentrating on the nutritional value at the moment, and the only 'processed' items (I think) are the pita and cereal, although both are organic and as natural as possible.

All thoughts would be welcomed.

Michael.

Okay, well it doesn't seem there's much for anyone to say about this, so I guess the results will have to tell :D

I've been going to-and-fro over the whole 'egg yolk' thing over the weekend, and I think I'm going to leave them in to start with, as I can always take them out should the results be poor.

I had my first tofu+pita on Saturday, and considering I concocted it purely from a nutritional standpoint, it was somewhat great to eat.

The only 'new experience' left will be my first protein shake tomorrow evening. I have a tub of Soy isolate, and will try first off with 30g added to 250ml of Soya milk. For my 4th day 'shocks', I'll maybe try it with fruit juice instead.

One thing I noticed was that you said:

(all meals come in at around 40/40/20 and 400 cals, except the first which is about 60/30/10, and the last which will vary by day)

You don't have to try and make each MEAL come in with your macronutrient ratios, but the total for the day. :)

Your plan however seems pretty decent. And yummy. I'm hungry!

Yeah, eat the whole egg for now if you want and then try removing them for a week and see what happens maybe. Personally I eat a lot more yolks than most people seem to.
