Hay guys ... I've been posting a lot of questions lately :)

I am wondering if I should be using a weight belt. I have not been doing so because I feel like my form is correct and I haven't been letting my lower back get too vulnerable, and I lift fairly light weights.

So far the only exercises I go above my body weight on are squats, leg press, deadlifts, barbell shrugs, and soon probably bench press.

Does a weight belt reduce the amount of muscle you can build in your lower back? Cause I am loving the strength that I've been gaining there... but I don't want to hurt myself either.

Anyway feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Some great advice I was given, was don't use a belt until you get up to at least 2x bodyweight lifts. If you use a belt all the time, on your warm-ups and lighter sets, then the smaller assistance and stablisation muscles in your body won't develop along with the rest of your muscles.. thus risking injury.

Just keep up with the good form! :)
