Hi, everyone!
This should *probably* go in the recipe section of the forum, but as of yet, no one else is posting there, and since I've only a question (not an actual recipe) I'll post it here instead. If anyone comes up with a good recipe, we can then post it in its proper forum.
My question is: Does anyone have a good recipe for homemade protein bars? I see recipes all over the net, but they all contain oatmeal, natural peanut butter, protein powder, and honey. The first three ingredients are just fine, but adding enough honey (read: liquid sugar) to make the whoe thing stick together just turns the protein bar into a carb disaster. I think I'd almost be better off eating a Snickers bar.
Anybody know some low carb, or even *reasonable* carb alternatives to these honey-based recipes? I should point out that I'm not on a low carb diet or anything, its just that I don't think these honey-based protein bars are all that healthy.
Thanks in advance!
