to my knowledge there are two mechanisms to fat loss/metabolism booster other then the obvious calorie cutting.

zigzagging calories
high carb low carb days

i use both jointly.

my question is this...

is it nescarry... will doing only one have the same effect as two?

ive never heard of anyone joining both together. im curious as to if this could be a problem... a current problem or long term problem.

both these mechanisms or tactics are used to trick ones system... not letting it get used to your rooutine. could this theoretically have the reverse effect.... could my body get used to it? i dont see how.

i think the body system or metabolism functions on routine ... doing the same thing day in day out... and if one or two of these tactics is implemented the body cant figure you out... i guess its more about the adaptive systym in your body cant stablalize your metabolism because your keep on giving it shocks. but im not sure... evenetually dont shocks turn in to a numb effect? that it starts figuring you out and it doesnt have the effect anymore? ive never heard of anyone talking about these tactics and your body getting used to them.... ive just heard the usual... your body getting used to same excersizes and diet.

what do you all think? i know this is kind of theoretical and it deals or touches issue on some pretty technical stuff here... but im sure someone here can respond with some wise or knowledgable information.

Well, I think there are a lot of us here who do neither and have had consistent results. I think Nate (http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=650&page=1&pp=20), who posts here once in a while, eats the same thing everyday during a cut, no matter what workout day it is, and was once down around 7%, and deadlifts like a madman.

well then that would indicate to me that some of us... our bodies aren't as adaptive.... or is this simply a case of this person having good genetics/ fast metabolism?

Are such tactics suggested for those with slow metabs? Or is it universal? I am doing such because of entering a plateu... of which ive broke and of which i want to advoid... assuming my metabolism system is highly adaptive (slows down to a crawl in routine situations) which i think comes from my endomorphic side. Not sure though.

ummm.... not sure why this is getting lost in the shuffle. could it be that its too complicated of a subject? i gurantee that its not a run o the mill subject/question.
