I usually consume this if I do an evening workout (which is about 1/2 the time). I wouldn't do this in the am, except if it were after 1130am. Why? Something in my genetic code says eating Fish for breakfast (or in a breakfast timespace) is a bizarre and un-natural thing.
This really can be anytime. However, my intent here is to list a very nice post-workout meal. In fact, I recommend this bowl IN ADDITION to/following a post workout shake consumed no later than 15 minutes after workout. Further, I recommend you down at least 1/2 of that shake within 3 minutes (at first), and then savor the remainder of the shake over the next 15-20 minutes.
Following that, by about 45 minutes to 60 minutes, I recommend this bowl -- the post workout meal with macronutrients. My fav at present. Here's the ingredients:
-> 2.5oz Bumblebee cooked salmon (smoky flavor, I think, but dunno 4 sure)
-> 1 cup of (pre-cooked) brown rice (success variety)
-> Ground black pepper
-> 1 teaspoon real butter
Optional:
-> 3 tablespoons pickled garlic (my fav) or any other veggie
-> Loads of hot sauce (your favorite kind)
YUMMY! :claplow:
Instructions:
(1) Take tuna out of pouch (use 1/2 of a 5oz package), and throw into bowl, draining any excess liquid
(2) Throw PRE-COOKED (I cook 6 cups every Sunday night) brown rice
(3) If using pickled stuff, add now (it cooks well, usually)
(4) Microwave on high 2 minutes, stirring half-way if necessary.
When removing, sprinkle the pepper and add the butter.
Freakin TASTY! :nod:
