I just started by summer job (law clerk) and I'm in the process of moving apartments. Please, someone tell me that it's not so bad that I haven't gone to the gym for a few days. I'm still counting calories (making sure I'm eating less than 2000 [more around 1500-1800]). But I just feel gross not going to the gym. I know this won't happen--but can someone reassure me that I'm not going to gain 10 lbs! lol. I should be moved in to my new apartment by this Sunday--thus back to my normal gym routine. "Til then, I'm doing nothing but moving or working. *sigh*

If it's just for a few days or a week, you should be fine. Think of it this way - moving is hard work! I know, I just did it a couple months ago. And if it makes you feel better, just get a little more exercise in where you can - park as far away from your work building as you can (or walk to work if it's close enough), use the restroom on a different floor, take a walk on your break or during lunch. I know it's not the same as a long sweaty workout, but it adds up, and you'll at least feel like you're doing *something* :)

You're not going to gain 10 pounds!
I helped my boyfriend move over the weekend (into a third floor apartment) and, heck, I counted that as a workout!
Sounds like you're doing great with your diet, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

I just moved yesterday, & I can guarantee you, you will definitely not gain weight! I was lifting boxes all day, and actually think it did me some good. :nod:

i just went to the gym last night after a one week hiatus and it felt great! :)
