JazzyJersey Fri, May 27th, 2005, 11:22 PM nice vid. you guys look like you were having fun :tu: Adam and Jess Sat, May 28th, 2005, 02:00 AM i'm all about that stripe shirt and those sexy sweat pants! :tu:  ADam Jim G. Sat, May 28th, 2005, 07:44 AM Do you get a good feel i your triceps doing a tricep press that way? I thought your grip was too wide. Also, when your doing those chins, keep your legs still. And the last thing, but I'm not quite sure bout that, when you bench, do you bounce the barbell on your chest? I thougt it came down somewhat quick. Just my guess. Let me know please. reanimated838uk Sat, May 28th, 2005, 08:10 AM I didnt think he bounced it off his chest, he just let it touch and then it went back up. Agree with the arching though. Andrew Sat, May 28th, 2005, 09:57 AM Lol, cool video. What was the music? Also, what did the words at the beginning and end of the video mean? Jasd Sat, May 28th, 2005, 10:20 AM The songs were Mötley Crüe - Wild Side and Strapping Young Lad - Love. Yeah what a sexy costume I had :d_wink: I get a better feeling in my pecs at bench press with an arch, and I also pull my shoulders as far back as I can. The barbell actually doesn't touch me at all, just the shirt :p And those chin-ups - it's been quite satisfying to actually get to DO those, as a couple of months ago I had the strength to do none. That's why I train them a bit aggressively, yes. Good point about the legs - that's me cheating :) The words at the beginning: "Jasd's training" at the end: "That's all folks, time for PWO" Jasd Sat, May 28th, 2005, 10:27 AM Do you get a good feel i your triceps doing a tricep press that way? I thought your grip was too wide. Yes I do! I can feel that one set today in my tri's ;) I try to keep my elbows narrower usually though. It somewhat limits the weights though :P pinoyfitness Sat, May 28th, 2005, 11:08 AM nice video.... like the background music, makes me want to go to war   heeheh :o :tu: vatechguy Sat, May 28th, 2005, 11:17 AM My only comment is you hold your breath a lot during the extertion part of the exercise - thats a good way to cause a blood vessel to pop. Breathe out on the exertion part, inhale on the negative. Never ever hold your breath. :D Cool tunes Devery Sat, May 28th, 2005, 06:33 PM Nice job, I enjoyed the intensity and wonder how funny I must look straining to get that last rep. :D JoeSchmo Sun, May 29th, 2005, 12:42 AM I didnt think he bounced it off his chest, he just let it touch and then it went back up. Agree with the arching though. Actually, his bench technique looked pretty decent to me....better than what I often see at the gym. Arching is actually a good thing if your goal is to move more weight. http://www.criticalbench.com/bench-press-technique.htm RamRom Sun, May 29th, 2005, 02:02 PM yes, Arching ur lower back and tucking ur shoulder blades is good when doing bench press yogro Mon, May 30th, 2005, 01:45 AM where on earth are you training? that in a corner of a warehouse or something? Jasd Mon, May 30th, 2005, 05:56 AM That's just a track-and-field sports hall. They are just closing it down for summer, for different kinds of events. That's why it looks like a warehouse now :D Oh and that's not the main hall, just the smallest one of the three. That hall has weight training, disc throwing, long jump, high jump and shot-putting training stuff :p Oh and why I have trained there for a while: It's free and it kinda limits me to compound exercises ;) |
