View Full Version : Should i continue to bulk or cut? POLL! PICS! Wohoo!
stoffer Wed, May 25th, 2005, 05:10 AM Okay, i just finished a bulk 10 days ago, i've gained 7kg since Jan 10th.
Ofcourse i gained some fat also, but starting out with not very much of that makes me not very fat right now.
My overall goal is to gain about 10kg more, but should i maybe cut down before continuing to bulk? It would be awful nice with a sixpack for summer, but then again, some more muscles aint bad either!

i think a nice clean bulk for a few months will help you get that 6 pack.

escher Wed, May 25th, 2005, 09:42 AM (hmm.. my post last night didnt make it here) anyway, I agree with citrix... You are already looking pretty lean. Adding some more mass to your chest would be good. Your arms are looking already good! Its a tough call.. you want to look ripped for the summer, but its hard to give up your muscle gain! I'm in the same situation, in I'm not sure what I want to do.

stoffer Sat, May 28th, 2005, 01:37 PM Thanks for all the nice words, i actually felt quite fat when i wrote the post, but now i see that it's not that bad. It's hard mentally to gain fat while bulking, but i guess that has to come as well.
I've been having a break in training for 2 weeks now, eating whatever i want (as little as i want ;)) so I think it's time to get it on again!
See you again in a couple of kg's time maybe! ;)

tennisball Wed, June 1st, 2005, 02:31 PM Are you going to be hitting the beach? I would say cut. It's summer! Get that 6-pack out, and when you do bulk up, you will have less fat and you can control it better by looking in the mirror, and judging your calorie intake that way. You can always bulk when you have to wear more clothing...
IMHO, I would rather be a lean ripped guy than a chubby monster. Sure, the big guy can kick my ass, but the ladies will be looking my way when I'm running from the meathead...

rtestes Wed, June 1st, 2005, 02:46 PM Looking good, I voted bulk. But do it slowly. Add 200 calories a week, measure waist, don't gain more than 1.5" there. If you see waist grow drop back on calories. You might thing about a 60%C/20%P/@0%F ratio in diet.
Work your back, chest and the legs we didn't see.

Get shedded, reach your goal...hold for a bit then slowly bulk come Aug. or so.
