does anyone of you ladies have a problem with building up the butt? making it stand out more? mine is small and flat and i need some good exercises to help build.

One word for you.....SQUATS!!

The heavier the better. Walking lunges will also help. If your gym has one of those "Butt blaster" machines use it. My God it is embarrassing to use, but it will build and tighten your glutes. :lol:

Yep, I have that problem. But all of my muscles are long, so it is hard to make it look perky and compact. Just doesn't work with my genetics, no matter how many lunges and squats I do. I think it is kind of a lost cause. LOL

when doing squats, are your legs shoulder width apart or wider? and do you squat as low as you can?

Our trainer has been working with us to build our butts. We have been doing Polymetric training for lower body.. lost of walking lunges, step ups, running sprints on high inclines, squats all light weight but high reps super and tri sets.. OUCH! but my butt has really lifted up! I can feel it getting firm, full and see it elevated :claphigh:

thanks, i'm going to try those. How often do you work your butt? if you're using light weight can I work it more often?

Squats, stiff-legged deadlifts and walking up hill or jogging. Or kick boxing... goes without saying.

I am jealous. I want an uplifted butt too! Any ideas for someone with bad knees that can't do lunges and stuff?

i have bad knees, but i can still manage to do dead lifts, leg presses and squats. as long as i keep a nice, tight contraction in my gluts during these exercises, i feel it the next day.

I think to build the mass its better to do heavier weights and less reps.

I do deadlifts and lunges to round up my flat butt....
