View Full Version : Hey I ate some mini donuts & hotdog/burger and this happened (SICK?)

I've been eating pretty clean, and I'm worried at what this has done to me, seriously concerned.

I ate some mini donuts (donut holes) like 10 or so, and I had a hotdog in white bread (fast food place) and a cheeseburger too. It tatsed good going down, and I have eaten these foods 1000's of times.

This time, a few hours later I was sneezing like mad, just kept going Ach-ooo. My face has been really smooth, and the next day I broke out and had like 5-6 pimples on my face (it was so little food, could it be responsible??). I had a runny nose, and I went through 30 or so tissues.

So Today, I went back to my cutting food (it was just like 1 cheat meal I had yesterday) and now my sneezing and runny nose are gone, and I would imagine my pimples will go down in a few days.

Why the Hell did this happen?

Has eating clean turned me into a weak little kid who cannot eat any "cheat foods" ??? I mean at some point I would like to incorporate these foods into my diet 1-2 times a week when I am at a healthy bodyfat.

My diet cuts out as much sugar as possible, and the healthy carbs such as oatmeal and what not have carbs in the form of starch I think right? It's not the same as PURE SUGAR that was on those donuts. Even my bread is 0 Sugar bread. Was the breakout due to possibly eating very little sugar, and then suddenly injecting 10 mini donuts (THEY ARE SOOO SMALL THOUGH, took me 1 minute to eat em)

Anyways, was wondering if anyone had any feedback or experienced something similar. Seems very unreasonable to think I can never eat these foods again.

On the positive, if I want to CHEAT during my cutting cycle, even If I earned it, deserve it, want it, am not worried by it, it seems I cannot cheat, or I'll get flu like symptoms

I'm really no expert, but I'd say that your body got used to the good stuff ;) . Although I can't provide a reason, I do share your feelings, as when I get to eat foods which I excluded from my diet I feel icky the next hours - my stomach rumbling and the general feeling is unhealthy.
Then again, food is our fuel - just like you wouldn't put crappy fuel/oils/liquids in your car for the sake of it's performance you probably shouldn't put crappy food in your system.
Just my 2 cents. :)

No, you guys have it all wrong. Eating healthy will not make you weak, it'll strengthen your body. It can make you have a small reaction to something you used to eat simply as a warning, but what you described isn't from any normal donuts, hotdog, and cheeseburger. It's possible you were poisoned, or it also could have been a mere coincidence. But if you plan to eat junk foods it's probably a good idea to eat a little bit at least once every week or two. I've eaten foods that I hadn't eaten in over a month and my body had funny reactions getting used to it. There's probably minor health issues with this as well. But if you're concerned with your health, there are great alternatives to that junk food. It may not be as easy or even as tasty in your opinion but eating healthy will make you feel better and it'll be a great investment into your future. There are nutrients in that food that your body craves, and it's good to find out what they are. You can then find out where they occur naturally. I'd suggest replacing the fast food meats with lean meats from the store, otherwise they aren't so bad. Just some crazy techniques they use to cook those things. But I'd swap the donuts out with fruit for the sugar. If you like creme-filled, then maybe you need more fat in your diet. Try putting more olive oil on your meats that you cook. If you like chocolate, there's not many options to get the stuff healthy unless you wanna make your own chocolate. But I think the reason most people like chocolate is a caffeine craving anyways. That's another thing to watch out for. Drugs in foods will often change your perception of what's good and what's not.

That's what I was thinking Gila, too used to eating clean. I feel the same you do, now what to do for a B-day party coming up next week. I was budgeting to hit maybe up to 5000 Kcal because I have been eating clean for couple months now.

Thanks for the tips Darkness, I think I will just make sure I have a little something here and there like you said to let my body know that when I do eat fast food, to not go into such a panic.

Hey man yea I never thought about that. You don't think the chances are too small that the day I decided to indulge a little, I caught something from someone, and then I correlate the two together. The thing is, it was gone after 1 day, I feel completely fine now. I'll see what happens to me next time I decided to have a cheat meal

That was just a cheat meal/snack though Slushy. It's bad food, and really it's lacking in BULK. Next time I will just have to go with Cucumbers and Apples. That's more my style. Freud will be running to the hills when he sees that, asking Skinner where the box is so he can hide in it. Even Pavlov's dogs will be salivating at that meal. We'll let Jean Piaget solve this whole mess, he's got enough time on his hands, all he did was play with kids.

After working as a temporary policeman, I have grown a bit of liking to donuts. Actually it's more that I got used to them, since there's some guy who drops them off every day. We get other free food but donuts are the one that's assured.
