Is this good for a cutting diet?
I've kept a very strict diet thusfar and wish to continue with that however I'm looking to add a little variety. While on topic, does anyone recommend any cereal which is good?
I've had only a few (less than) handful servings just before bed with my cottage cheese.

A strict diet is not good. It's good that you have such discipline but there's more than one reason eating should be fun. I'm not saying go out and eat junk, but you should definitely try to expand your food horizon. Try new foods. Many cereals are quite healthy for you. I'm not sure what goes on in a Cheerios factory but they seem alright. They always made me feel good :tu:

Healthy (and somewhat tastless) cereals are Branflex (or something like that - don't remember the exact name). To make them more interesting you can add some nuts or fruits.

yes, adding nuts and fruits is a healthy (and very tasty I might add) way of boosting your cereals.

The only cereal I eat now is Kashi Go Lean

You gotta get used to the taste, but with so much protein and so much fiber -- it fills you up quickly and has great nutrition. I love it.

Thanks guys. I hear you on the strict thing but I'm trying to maximize my fat loss for the summer and I think my diet's been the biggest reason I've been seeing the results I have. I am about 20 lbs off from my "rough" goal so there's still a ways to go. I plan on letting up a bit more when I'm considerably closer.
I will be trying both Kashi and Branflex with fruits. This will be my new breakfast actually as I am sick of egg whites/protein shake quite frankly, so much so that I actually have started to toss in a little tuna salad and turkey slices in the breakfast meal mix.
I used to have oatmeal every morning but since I started lifting I reserved those carbs as part of my post workout meal.
One last question, do you have skim milk with the cereal or eat it dry. I also do fasted cardio, not sure if that's relevant - I plan on eating this meal a good 45 min after it anyway so it shouldn't be important.

Dry cereals??? :d_eek: The horror! I simply can't push them down the throat if I don't soak them in skim milk (1%).
Just don't toss those bits of tuna and turkey into the cereals ;)

personally I LOVE the Kashi golean Crunch... it's awesome... I mix 1 scoop of vanilla protien powder with 1 cup of fat free milk and toss it in with the cereal... it's really yummy
