Lately I've experienced sudden argue to sleep an hour after my workout. I'd sleep for like 3 hours. I usually get my 8 hours daily at night! but I can't seem to feel any better. Any ideas?

Yeah, I was actually thinking of posting something similar because this always happens to me. In fact, I just got back from the gym 45 mins ago and I am incredibly sleepy. Don't know if I'm right, but I've always attributed it to my PWO carbs. They cause a spike in insulin which then drops the blood sugar way down again...hence causing the sleepiness. That is just a guess though. Snowie Wed, May 11th, 2005, 06:29 AM i used to get this really bad...i had enough post workout carbs...but it was pure dextrose....so 30-60mins later bang sugar crash and i needed to sleep. ive changed my pwo-shake to half oats and half dextrose now...which seems to be alot better......give it a go!! |
