i have been weight lifting for a while but it has been on and off, nothing serious. I got my cousin to join, now me and him are going to be serious about weight lifting. I am around 5'11 , 185 lbs , maybe 18 bf%. I am not sure how i should start. I am mostly a lil chubby on my stomach area. Should i just go into doing weights and bulking myself up and then do the cuttin phase. Can some help me out with this.. thank you. :tu:

If you are really 18% of BF, or over 15% for that matter, I think it would be wise for you to cut first. Why? Because people with BF above 15% have the tendency to gain fat more compared to people with lower BF. Of course it's individual is unique and different, but I'm using generalization here, where all things are equal...

But of course you're BF estimation might be wrong because you say you're just a bit chubby on the stomach area, in my understanding, you are just about 15% BF or maybe even less. A picture would help here... Good luck :gl:

When it comes to ladies, I think "nice ladies" prefer a guy who has a good attitude rather than a chiesiling physique. But it's a whole new different ball game when you want a hot chick, with an attitude (whatever it may be). But when it comes to society, you are judged first based on your physique, because that's why they see in you first :whistle:
