I haven't posted pictures in a long time. Last time was in December 2004 (http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=11031) and even earlier in May 2004 (http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=5033).

Consequently, here are some pictures that were snapped while my friends and I were fooling around with jumping in the air and taking photographs. They aren't your standard back double bicep, side tricep, front most massive shots, but they do give a good impression as to what my body looks like when I'm not flexing or trying to look muscular.

Picture comments: 1) My impression of a flying ninja kick. 2) V-sit, gymnastic hold -- I'm working on height still, my butt needs to come up so my legs are totally vertical. 3) Popping up from the ground in a kip -- shot in motion, it's reminiscent of The Matrix. 4) A shot showing my back and butt.

Man, if you can hold a V-sit like that, your abs and quads must be really strong. Groovy pics! Post some more of these! :tucool:

Excellent pictures!!

I've got an aim to be able to do such gymnastic feats myself soon. I can do flashy jumping spin kicks through martial arts training, but I am yet to do kip ups. But first, focusing on cutting for me.

Man, if you can hold a V-sit like that, your abs and quads must be really strongStrong abs and hip flexors and flexible hamstrings and calves. I'm not quite strong enough yet -- my butt needs to come up a little bit more so my legs are totally vertical.

I've got an aim to be able to do such gymnastic feats myself soon. I can do flashy jumping spin kicks through martial arts training, but I am yet to do kip upsI actually just learned to kip two days ago. I've known the movement for a long time, but I didn't have coordination to execute it. It's a bit like the opposite of the worm (that really beginner breakdance move) and really depends on you ability to flow through the movement and transfer your energy.

Were you always able to do moves like that?Nope. I just started learning gymnastics in February. I'd been able to do a few basic strength holds (l-sit, tuck planche) since the end of last summer. I don't know any martial arts and I'm still a beginning gymnast.

where'd you get those pants? brand? store? size? They're from the Dominican Republic. The tag says "By Mitzy: Made in Dom. Rep. S" They're a semi-stiff linen material.

Bravo, dude. You've come a long way.

I, too, remember that skinny kid from a year + ago...

Nice work. Always an inspiration. :tu:

That's awesome. You're a real athlete son!

Great accomplishments, especially at that age. It makes me want to get into gymnastics-I've got a long way to go in the flexibility department though.

Nice kip up!
