Welcome Daniel,

Since you say that you've been around awhile, then I'm sure that you have an understanding on what to do. It ain't easy man..you just gotta make small changes in your life and take it from there. You've got to have a plan of attack man. There are no easy answers, but you've got to think LIFESTYLE CHANGE not diet, not get in shape for a cruise, not drop the weight overnite. Start exercising and keep doing it until it becomes as natural as getting up and taking a shower. Make small changes to your diet such as cutting back on the junk. Try to eat healthier meals..spread them out to 5-6 meals a day. All this has been said and posted before. You are in better starting condition than a whole lot of some of people that have met or exceeded their goals.

There are some very helpful people here that will support you but you've got to want it...if you don't want it bad enough, ain't nothing nobody here can do to help you.

Good luck man.

- Ken

Hi Daniel.

I was exactly in your position a few years ago. Except, I was 5'5, 225 lbs :d_eek: I felt like crap. I was tired all the time. At 17, all I wanted to do was come home from school, eat, and go to sleep. Today, I am about 140 lbs and probably in the best shape of my life, though I still have body fat to lose.

If you've been reading these boards, you should know how to eat. I've also had (and still struggle with) the problem of dedication. I'm sure most do. I just wanted to share one thing that really helped me in times of low will power...Keep a piece of paper written with your desires of why you want to lose the weight. In times when your will power is being challanged, take out that piece of paper and read it slow. For me, reading the words off the paper really helped replace low will power with inspiration.

You can do it :tu:

P.S. We're not short. Everyone else is unusually tall. :D

You can do it, bro. Like others have said -- if you've been reading these forums, you know what to do. I believe the key to fat loss is diet first, then, once your diet is in place, weight lifting is essential. If you have a good diet and good weight lifting, then it is time to start thinking about cardio. Many people go in reverse order and wonder why they're having trouble. Do it smart. Do it for life. Do it for health. Do it for yourself. Do it for good. You can do it. Before long, you'll see those "before" pictures on a forum with people commenting -- "that's amazing" and you'll be inspiring people to transform themselves. Good luck, man.

Hey man,

let me tell you, im started on New Year hard core. I was 5'5 like you, i was 195 lbs, like you...and had no motivation.

But you have already got to the first step, coming here and asking, and posting your pics. We are all gonna keep a tab on you and check in on this thread, and we are all gonan see your transformation...and cheer you on. I posted my pics, and they cheered me on.

Its only been 4 months...and im down to 165, and still going.

To tell you the truth, my biggest motivation factor is my Lance Armstrong "LiveStrong" Braclet...if he can win the tour de france 6 times, and beat cancer...the we can loose the weight. if i cant go another 10 min on cardio, or push out that last rep, or reach for a chocolate bar...i look at my wrist and say SCREW THAT!! im gonna stick to it!!

If you need help just ask, everyone is here to help...

my advice...

5-6 meals a day
eat clean food, nothing processed
morning cardio
limit some carbs, but dont zero them out
weight train like a looney
cottage cheese!! :D

welcome to the begining of a new you!! :tu:

PS-i know all about Manadrin, i lived in TO!
