Here's the gear at my house. The treadmill is a $400 Wal-mart job that I purchased about three years ago when my sweetie and I first got together, so she wouldn't have to go home to get her run in. The gym is about 15 years old. Got it off ebay for about $80. I love ebay.
Pros: cheap, it's in my house so it's convenient, and when we have family over like for Thanksgiving there is a place for everyone's coat. :D
Cons: The weights are a bit rusty (no big deal), you have to stand up to work your hamstrings one at a time, I wish it had a leg press, the hanging-knee-pull-up-abs-exerciser-thingy is kind of in the way of the low pulley so when you do standing curls your bar hits it (to fix that I just pull up a chair and place my elbows on my knees). But with a little creativity, you can work any muscle group on it, and nuthin' beats having a gym in your own home. I still would like a set of hex barbells though (I'm keeping an eye on ebay for this).
