View Full Version : Good God...
Kebas April 12th, 2005, 03:37 AM Well to start off, I was cheating bad today. Had...1 bowl oatmeal, 2 yogurts, 1 scoop protein shake, 2 protein bars, 2 servings pretzels, ~3 servings cereal with 2/3 cup milk, 1 turkey sandwich on wheat bread, 1 small personal pizza, 4 slices of italian bread, 2 onion bagels, and one english muffin, small bowl of soup, 1 low sugar icee. Well...I think ya got the picture. Thats all of it over the day. I havnt eaten this much in the course of the day for about 5-6 months...
Anyways...tonight I had a weird night. I gained about 4 lbs and i figured it was water weight because of the cheat. I looked in the mirror, and I noticed my figure was a weird shape. The area under my chest and above my stomach protruded out and gave my figure a weird distorted shape. I pushed on it a little, and felt a mild pain. It felt hard and like...I was filled with air or something. I then started to burp alot and it started occurring frequently after i pushed on the area. What is this thats happening? Is it because my body is not adjusted to that amount of food, or what? Help! -)

jasoniscool April 12th, 2005, 06:49 AM are you sure you weren't hallucinating? It's happened to me quite a few times
ILoco April 12th, 2005, 07:37 AM LOL... It's just indigestion. Air trapped in your stomach from all the food. Yes it hurts sometimes, and also is the cause of heartburn, if acid gets pushed up by the air. You're stretching your stomach out eating that much which tends to cause a little pain sometimes too.
Take an antigas or Tums antacid... it'll clear it up.

Agreed. And the answer's always the same-shrug it off, don't let in stop you, and return to your normal program immediately. But I guess if it makes people feel better, let em vent.

I started a cheat meal thread, but not for the purpose of "rampant overeating". Overeating is not beneficial. Most have a cheat meal for the psychological benefits while cutting. Going a bit overboard on those meals happens sometimes and it happens to the best of us. After all the hard work put in, it helps some to talk about it, let it go and move on.

Exactly.
Kebas April 12th, 2005, 02:15 PM I posted it wondering mainly about what the bloating was. The cheat meal thing was part vent/part explanation because I thought it had something to do with it -) I guess, if anything, just to avoid that from happening, I wont overeat -)

Yeah, I've experienced these several times too... Usually occuring after a rampant overeating, binge session! Not a good feeling, but a good remembrance to never binge again! By the way, I don't take any antigas (I don't have any  ) Just let it go, maybe after a day or two it'll be gone. But still you'll sometimes see your stomach fat and jiggly :p

Maybe they feel that after conffesing, they feel like their sins are being erased and gives them the stronger willpower to not do it again? I know I did ;)
Zerone April 13th, 2005, 12:10 AM I had that happen to me a few times except it was from eating too much protein. I wish I had had a video recorder.
I could of sold tickets so everyone could watch the great burping man. I would of made a fortune. I could burp on command for 5 days straight. Loud burps, deep burps. 5 in a row, 5 more a minute later. It was an amazing experience. :D
