Quick question.

When John and a lot of you do cardio in a fasted state... do you have your protein shake before hanbd (to prevent muscle breakdown) or have it afterwards. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. I've been doing a shake before and would be happy to change if it would increas results even a tiny bit.

I think having a protein shake before hand is a wise idea, just like you said, "to avoid muscle breakdown". Also, the main idea behind fasted cardio is that you are suppose to directly burn fat because you have no glycogen stored (from carb source), and since protein shake consist almost all protein (depends on the brand), supposedly you aren't gonna store any glycogen, and directly burn fat. Just my personal opinion..:tu:

Fasted means fasted. No food prior to the cardio.
