Oo, never use ancle weights when running. Use them as you would have used regular DBs.

No! Please don't use ankle weights. Any added fat burning benefit will be more than offset by the increased risk of injury. Rely on your cardio to burn fat and your weights to build muscle. There's no set point at which it's right to begin a bulk. You probably want to be at fairly low body fat. I had visible abs when I started mine last week but they weren't popping like some people like to have. (i'm trying to get some pictures up but am having some trouble). In theory, the more body fat you have when you start a bulk, the more fat you're likely to add along with your lean muscle gains during the bulk. I think there is some truth to this.

you cant bulk and cut at the same time.
adding waits for cardio when cutting is really unnessacery.
when you are doing cardio for cutting the point is to remain at a certain heart rate for an extended period of time. adding weights when doing the same cardio will only hieghtend the heart rate... is my guess. there's really no point. now if you were going for an endurance goal... those weights may work for that... but on an endurance goal... muscle is sacrificed.
take my advice with a grain of salt as im no expert but this is what i can gather after 4 months on being on this site.

First of all, do some research about fat loss in this forum, I'm sure there's alot of information out there. If that's not enough, try to expand your knowledge by visiting bodybuilding.com (http://bodybuilding.com). There are tons of articles there related to fitness and fat loss :tu:
Secondly, about the ankle weights. I have them too, but I only use the sparingly, sometimes for resistance training. Never do I use them for running. It has a potential danger in doing so! You can actually hurt yourself. By the way, he difference betwee, cutting and bulking is your nutrition intake, not the weights or exercise you do :gl:
