I can't seem to get enough of the tv show Lost. It's so stupid, but at the same time, I want to know what the hell is going on! I'm so hooked! I wanna know what the big monster thing is, I wanna know what that thing is that Locke found, I wanna know who else is on the island, etc, etc, etc. I'm the only person I know who watches the show religiously! Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just crazy?

ur not alone girly...if i miss one second i get a really pissy.

I missed the very first episode but picked it up on the second b/c our local morning guys (PRESTON AND STEVE ROCK!!!) kept talking about and I WAS HOOKED!! I even got my g/f addicted to it and she hates TV, we've since recruited at least 20 more people to share in our obession b/c then we dont feel so weird :p

trust me we are all as anxious as you are to find exactly WTF is going on but not knowing is actually making this show a thousand times better.

I've tried a couple times to watch it but it just seems like there's too much back story on the characters that I've missed... Makes it damned hard to get too involved in the stories.

West Wing though. Season finale was AWESOME.

Now its Alan Alda vs. Jimmy Smits! Next season is going to kick a$$.

Dave (likes the pacing and writing of West Wing)

I watched the first 8 episodes or so but got bored with the show and no longer watch it. While I can see the draw to continue watching it I just don't feel like I'm getting an hours worth of entertainment. If I want to know whats happened I can take 30 seconds to read about it online.

lol c'mon man locke is the shit....he is the catalyst for everything thats happening...neither good nor bad i dont think, but he's pulling strings making stuff happen....i saw the coming attractions and i think he gets shot but NO WAY he dies....if he does "die" no way he stays dead, the island needs him for some reason...

Hurley rocks, he's going to play a bigger part in this whole thing than anyone realizes.

Yeah my All-time favorite is Sawyer. Theres something about him that make him cool, maybe its cause hes the island bad-ass. I dont know but he's gonna be one of those characters that has a heroic death or a 180 epiphany.

John Locke (1632-1704):
"The Philosopher of Freedom."

"Good and evil, reward and punishment, are the only motives to a rational creature: these are the spur and reins whereby all mankind are set on work, and guided." (Locke.)

Lockes character is based off the real life philospher John Locke....its kinda cool to read about him..even that quote kind of mirrors what Locke is trying to accomplish on the island right now.

another cool site is www.driveshaftband.com the creators made this website for Charlies band...and on one episode of Alias when the chick was walking through a bar you heard a driveshaft song playing in the background...the writers on this show are spectacular.

what's even more effed up is that on the show its as if only a few days have gone by but on driveshafts website it says its been SIX MONTHS....the plot thickens!!

I watch it every week and have since it started. I tried to get John involved, but he wasn't having it
I like Locke. I am not sure what he is up to, after his disappearing act this week, but I feel like he is a good person.
I am sure he has a good reason for what he's doing, I guess we'll see :)

I'm guilty of it too, I love the show as well. :)

And I don't really hate any of the characters - I find them all pretty interesting in general. (and I'm sorry, but Sawyer is my new TV crush...LOL :o )

Oh man, I can't STAND Sawyer....he drives me nuts. But I guess he's the guy you're supposed to love to hate, huh? I like Hurley a LOT. Boone's sister kinda drives me nuts too, but they haven't really shown her much in the past episodes, so that's ok with me, haha. I don't know what I'd do with myself after the season finale.

Im quit proud of myself i have stayed away from all spoilers, excpet for one becasue it was on the ET/Acess Hollwood type show so i found out what major character died on wed.

I'm crazed about this show too. The only thing that annoys me about it is when more than one episode passes before one part of a storyline is continued. Like when Locke and Boone found the "hatch" it wasn't mentioned at all in the next episode. Almost like some of the writers forgot about it and put it back in a week later. (I know that isn't the case, but it felt that way watching the show)

I totally agree. They throw all these different stories at you at once, so that each episode is not a continuance of the same story. It's annoying, but that's how they get us all hooked, isn't it? I mean, they haven't shown anything about the big thing that makes all the noise and kills people in a long time. What IS that thing? Anyone have any ideas?

By the way, my mother (who is also a big fan of the show), pointed out that Boone's shirt 2 episodes ago said "84" in Chinese. She thinks that may have some sort of significance, like the book 1984 by Orwell. A whole sort of Big Brother consipracy on the island. I thought it was an interesting viewpoint. What do you all think?

I was wondering what the Chinese lettering on Boone's shirt meant, but I guess I just brushed it off as not being important. If what you suggest is true than this show has a lot of hidden messages that I haven't seen yet.

I'm hooked to the show too. From some of the stuff I've read there's supposed to be a lot of hidden things that give clues to what's going on. For instance I think I read that one of the comic books Walt had showed a very familiar picture of a polar bear on the front.

The show absolutely rocks if you have high definition TV with dolby digital surround sound. Anyone ever play the flash game (http://i-am-lost.com/)? I had to find a spoiler on what to do a few times. Kind of corny but a nice break from work when I need it.

LOST is kick ass. My favorite show on TV. I've watched it from the beginning. From the first commercial I knew it would be cool.

Their disjointed approach to stories is a little hard to get use to. They show you something really cool, and then they completely side track you for an episode or two and then bring it right back. I don't mind it now and just expect it.

Like the little kid, he has mental powers, but they just ignore it so we forget. Like when he killed the bird and then caused the boat to light on fire (which I assume he did with his mind, not sure). And right, the polar bear in the comic book. The number of people that seem to be unusual are growing.

I'm not sure who my favorite character is right now. I think Locke is the most interesting. The episode about him was pretty powerful.

I also get a kick out of the number of extras we still see every once in a while. They have a limited number of people, but they are keeping a bunch of them as non-developed characters. I somehow think this is significant. like they will bring more characters into the main circle of people as time goes on.

My favorite scene, was Hurley yelling at the french woman, that he couldn't take it any more and could she just tell him where the numbers came from. That was hilarious.
