View Full Version : My pics so far (as it relates to my current fat loss).
krosspyder April 7th, 2005, 07:16 PM Yeah... don't laugh ...and I hope not to gross you all out... just hopefully add some type of encouragement and or showcase my current progress. I think it's about time. It's important to understand that I am not at my goal at the moment and that I am still on that road there.
heres the link....

txitalian April 7th, 2005, 07:18 PM Damn nice work for 3 months! I had to double check the start date and make sure it didn't say 2004. Way to go, man.

I was thinking the same. I couldn't believe that was just 3 months. Keep it up dude and I'm not just saying that to be overly encouraging, that was my legit reaction. What was your workout program?
Dorvaan April 7th, 2005, 07:30 PM I am the only one that has noticed that it is actually only over the span of TWO months???
That makes it all the more impressive!!!

krosspyder April 7th, 2005, 07:37 PM Hey thanks guys for the kind responses!
Yeah thats a pretty big difference between the first pics and last pics in about 2 months. I remember that I started reducing my carbs and I seriously upped my cardio.... meaning do it 5 to 6 days a week as opposed to 3 during that time. Most of that is water wieght... id imagine. That pic maybe a late january pic.. not too sure.. but I do know that I brought it in on my puter from my digi cam on 2/5/05.... and i recall doing that rather quickly (because i take a lot of high res pics)... because i always do that to clear up room on my memory card. So... it may be a late jan pic or that early of a feb pic.. not to sure... but its not anything else.
Either way... still a big difference.. maybe too much... maybe not as healthy as a drop as it should have been.
krosspyder April 7th, 2005, 07:42 PM oh yeah... and if you can please guess my current body fat % ... id appreciate it.
slush_puppy April 7th, 2005, 08:19 PM Sheesh Krosspyder, that's some nice work! I figured you were making progress, but that's awesome! Great job... if I had to guess, I'd say 15-16%. :tucool:
Bluestreak April 7th, 2005, 08:21 PM Helluva job!
I'll second the 15~16% guess. That's about what I'm staring at in the mirror right now.

dashlevel April 8th, 2005, 12:03 AM really great progress man! I thought I was doing great, but you have beaten me by a few pounds :tu: how tall r u?
ellipticer April 8th, 2005, 12:16 AM That progression of pics whips the llamas ass, fer sure. Only negative can be that the skin doesn't keep up with the fat loss. If you want a good guess at bf, post a larger version of your current pics, but I would say between 19 and 21.
krosspyder April 8th, 2005, 12:30 AM Thanks again guys and gal (bballer143 ...welcome to the site by the way! ;) ). Your comments have helped me see it through others eyes...as our own eyes can be decieving at times.
I am between 5'9" and 10" tall.
so i guess it's safe to say im between 17 and 19 percent body fat... i'll try and post a larger pic. I know its a guess... i need to get it done professionally.
Ellipticer... can you clarify your skin comment... im not sure i understand it. Thanks.
ellipticer April 8th, 2005, 12:41 AM Ellipticer... can you clarify your skin comment... im not sure i understand it. Thanks.
Sure... I am a few years older, but I find when I've hit some fast weeks of fat loss, especially in the abdomen, that my skin doesn't shrink as fast as the fat does. Right now I look pretty good standing up, but bent over (no, not that way) quite a bit of ab skin still hangs down. After a few weeks or a few months (I'm hoping) it will continue to tighten. I know there is still fat to lose there, but the excess skin hasn't caught up yet either.
krosspyder April 8th, 2005, 12:53 AM Ah okay... I get what your saying now... thanks. Yeah makes sense. I thought about this a little... you know excess skin... because my friend had it after he dropped a lot of pounds... and i was curious to know if it eventually goes away (tightens up).
Also... i dont know if you all can tell but Im curious to know if the fat currently in my face will go away further once I get down to 170 or around there. Most of my life I have had fat cheeks... and im wondering ig it will chisel up in that area. I can see it slimming down now... but im not sure if it will stay like that or go down further. I am very insecure about my gut and my fat face--cheeks... lol.
If i could keep my size everywhere else but decress it on my face and my gut I'd be cool with it... but thats not how it works i undertand. No spot reduction... so i have to loose every where else first and then it will hit the areas i want it to hit.
Patience!
krosspyder April 8th, 2005, 12:59 AM really great progress man! I thought I was doing great, but you have beaten me by a few pounds :tu: how tall r u?
Wow... you've done great also.. judging from your stats. We're very close I didnt notice it untill i looked at your sig. I am a little shorter then you i believe.

I think 160-170, you should get rid of 90% of what you are looking at. My call 19-22%. You have made some real progress, keep it up and never go back.
One thing that would help on the site write-up - PARAGRAPHS

No way to tell unless we can see some pictures of your parents at an ideal weight? :D I would normally say yes, but roundness of the face can be genetic, of course. Keep at it, my face and chin have leaned up considerably in the past 5 pounds.

That's cool. I would have done so much better if I would have found this community earlier, I've made so many mistakes. but oh well , like my wife says, im still doing much better than when I started. Keep up the great work.
wh0rume April 8th, 2005, 04:14 PM damn man... nice going! cant wait to see what you do in the next 2 months!
TheRyanator April 8th, 2005, 04:16 PM Excellent progress man...in two months! Your fat loss may slow down a bit at this point, but dont get discouraged...keep working out hard and you'll be shredded up in no time!
TylerGred April 8th, 2005, 04:50 PM I must say nice job.
I also went on your actual website and wanted to say that I really like your art work too. Do you have any for sell?
krosspyder April 8th, 2005, 06:00 PM Excellent progress man...in two months! Your fat loss may slow down a bit at this point, but dont get discouraged...keep working out hard and you'll be shredded up in no time!
thanks. about how long do you think it will take me to reach a point to where most of the fat in my gut is gone?... im not concerned with ab muscles showing.... a good point to start bulking up that is?
im guessing by august... but good be longer if fat loss is slower now.
i've noticed wieght loss slowing down especially this month... so i carb loaded and i got past a week stall... i think it did the trick.
yeah but it is going slower... which is fine because im not into sustaining as much muscle as possible.
krosspyder April 8th, 2005, 06:07 PM I must say nice job.
I also went on your actual website and wanted to say that I really like your art work too. Do you have any for sell?
thanks for checking it out... thanks for your comments.
i haven't posted up all the current work that i have done so far... about 20 more pieces... but i will very soon. my newer work has more representational elements in it... that is elements that anyone can recongnize.
as it stands right now that work you see up is currently not for sale because i need to document them... take slides for my porfolio... and i plan on getting that done either this summer or this fall.... but by the end of this year or start of next year thier open for selling.
keep me in mind, i'll keep you in mind... and im sure i can work out a good deal for you when that time comes... since im not an established artists yet (working on it) my work is relativley cheap.
thanks for asking. i do want to sell my work BAD... but like i said i need it at the moment.... i dunno.... i may just speed up this documentation progress ... get that out of the way... so i can sell my work... i have had too many offers already and its looking really stupid on my part to keep holding up the process because im slacking off on the documentation.
sorry... didnt mean to talk your ear off.

ScrotEel April 8th, 2005, 11:44 PM Hey krosspyder,
Your progress is astounding and makes me wish I found this board years ago. I've been trying for three years to get from where you were to where you are. You did it in two months! I've taken dozens of steps forward only to take twice as many back.
I've started eating more recently after starving myself for way too long and I was wondering if you could give some more detail on
-what your initial calorie intake was at 225 (where I'm at now)
-how you split your calories and macros for each meal
-and how you alternate carb loading and protein loading to "shock" your metabolism
Any info or any extra tips would be much appreciated.
ps. The Wesley Willis quote whips the llamas ass with a belt.
thanks and keep up the good work!

i remember awhile back me trying to get fit.. but i didnt have the right information... sure i lost wieght (not as quick and not nearly as much as i have now) but i fell of easy and slid back into my old lifestyle... why because i didnt know about it being a lifestyle change and an addiction problem.... as well as a bunch of other information that i have obtained and gathered from being on this board. this forum has provided me with tools and weapons to combat almost every obstacle i can encounter... my next one is the slowing down of fat loss with the lower the body fat. i understand that to combat that i have to 1)not give up just because im not seeing much change 2)fight harder... maybe cardio twice a day (some days). point is... im learning from everyone here.
you will and can do the same. everyone is so supportive and helpful to each other... giving out information that normally would cost.
gracious members. the progress pics posted up by all these members serves as an inspiration for those who feel like it cant happen to them. i felt that way. but i looked at those pics... read what these people were saying and realized.. hey they are just like me... nothing special.. in terms of body chemistry (for the most part)... they just keep on... determined and dont give up... thats the trick.
i'll be happy to answer some of those questions you posted. im going to have to look through my loose journal for the stats though. i'll post back with some more direct help relating to the specific questions you have asked. thanks man.
Sock April 9th, 2005, 07:49 AM Amazing progress! :tucool:
Keep it up!
bballer143 April 9th, 2005, 02:44 PM Thank you, when i first started reading this site last year around july I was just interested in learning more about health and how to lose weight safely because i really didn't know how the body works and what protein and carbohydrates were and when i previously had attempted to lose weight i definitely didn't do it the proper way (excerising to much and not enough calories) I was having around 1,000 and working out around 2 hours. So this time i wanted to do it properly because that way didn't work and I eventually gained that weight back lol. I have always been involved in sports like basketball, soccer, running, and I love being outdoors so I have never really had a weight problem I just wanted to lose a couple pounds and look fit. I went online and searched different forums and I was amazed at how much I didn't know about nutrition and fitness and how my body works so I spent a couple months just constantly reading up on all the information this site offered and it really taught me a lot. I started to cut out all the junk food that I had (ice cream, cookies, cereal) and started to eat vegetables (which I was skeptical about at first hah but now i love to have them with every meal :tucool: ) fish, chicken, sweet potatos. I began to lift weights and excercise better. I also cut out all fruit juices and the rest of soda even though I never really liked soda much and replaced it with nothing but water. I wanted to start off my last year of high school feeling good about myself and with a different look (which people did notice :tu: ) I safely went from 138 to 125 (I haven't gotten my body fat tested but by looking in the mirror and training I know I lost some of little belly I had :o and gained muscle from weights :bb: ) and it made a hugh difference because it increased my stamina and endurance for basketball which was awesome :D because I was definitely faster this year then I had been the previous year. I have stayed this way for about 10 months. Reading and gathering everything I was learning gave me the motivation to try something completly new and to challenge myself so my new years resolution was to run in the L.A. marathon and that showed me something else I love...running! I just wanted to be able to complete it without stopping and get under 5 hours, I came in at 4:44 :D (I drank alot of water so the only stops I made were to go to the bathroom, 6 times ), It was so much fun though and it was great having my family there at the end to congratulate mee. Now i'm going to try and go for the new marathon in Las Vegas which I'm very excited about. I'm glad I came onto this site because I've read about so many motivational transformations (including John's  ) I learned that eating like this is a lifestyle which many people that I know don't understand so I had to push myself alot and also thanks to the amazing people here :claphigh: with all their incredible stories always kept me going. Now I don't even remember what a pizza or hamburger taste like because I love eating what I eat :eat: . It showed me to also be more responsible and not to depend on my grandparents to do all the cooking for me (they don't really like to cook healthy anyways  ) so after I started I did all my own grocery shopping and cooking. At first I didn't think i would be able to go around carrying meals during school or anywhere else but now my friends and family know that whenever I go out I always have one or two meals with me  . But at the moment I'm just trying to maintain and just keep doing my cardio and weights :flex:
woww sorry this post was so long lol, thank you if you take the time to read it all.
