Okay, so I haven't quite reached my goal to lose all the fat i want yet, but I want to begin gaining muscle... My thought is that if i start gaining muscle, the fat should theoretically come off along with the muscle gains... I plan on using 50g Dextrose + 10g Creatine Monohydrate post workout, Whey protein pre and post workout and throughout the day if i need it, and Glutamine Peptide powder throughout the day... the dextrose, creatine, and glutamine will be from kent nutrition... Hopefully this will help me make some real gains in strength and muscle mass and hopefully shed off those extra pounds and hopefully see some abs soon... What's everyones thoughts on that???

I just finished doing a 2 week trial of creatine while cutting. I did get a good amount of muscle gain, and at the moment I have not seen any changes. As of lately I'm just getting rid of whats left of the creatine and I can see a more of my abs than I ever saw before.
Am I saying that creatine is a fat-loss tool? NO, creatine does not promote fat-loss but it can increase lean mass, burn more calories than normal, and thus decrease the relative amount of fat.
Be aware that you WILL bloat and this may discourage you but as long as you stick to it you'll be fine. I planned on doing it for a whole month, but I couldnt stand the wait and decided to cut it to 2 weeks. I will try this again after I finish my bulking stage to see if I can get a jump on cutting.

Only thing I'd skip is glutamine. I've tried it in the past and found its effects to be unnoticeable.
Creatine is fine to use on a cutting cycle. I use it. Just drink plenty of water (1.0~1.5+ gallons per day). I do best on cutting cycles with very high protein intakes (45~50% of my daily macro is in protein on a cut).
Use it. See if it helps you. Remember, you'll retain water, so your definition will not be quite as great as you might like.

I second all said here. For me creatine makes sense when losing weight because it decreases some of the apparent size loss of calorie-starved muscles.

Couldnt agree more.......... here's a perfect example.... My workout partner and I were at almost the exact same body fat. I was at 14.2% and he was at 13.8%
We worked our butts off for 6 weeks doing the same routine... Fasted cardio in the morning Weight lifting at lunch 6 days a week (sometimes a second cardio for the day after work)
Both of us were looking to drop BF% He was taking a Creatine/Glutamine mix. I was taking Glutamine only I diets were very close to the same.... low carb/high protien low calorie diet (about 2000)
He lost 4 lbs of fat and gained 1.5 lbs of muscle dropping his BF% to 11.6%
I lost 1 lb of fat and 4lbs of muscle!! and my body fat stayed almost the same 13.9% Glutamine SUCKS!
That was a 6 weeks learning experience for me. I'm now taking the same Creatine/Glutamine Mix.... have been for 3 days now and already I feel bloated but I'm confident this will work

Ill add some stuff. Creatine by itself doesnt increase LBM. Creatine occurs naturally in the boy and assists in anerobic activities to release ATP, which also reduces lactic acid formation. It has no magical ability to pack on lean mass, instead it just makes work outs more effective. It also hydrates muscle better, which is why you see the bigger size and initial weight gain. Properly hydrated muscles also make them more likely to grow
So, with that being said, it won't effect fat loss at all, but could help it by making your lifts more intense. :tu:. However, dont be disappointed when you take it while cutting and dont pack on muscle. You gotta remember that gaining muscle and losing fat are 2 very different proceses, and for 99% of the people, dont occur at the same time.
