I will drop a little background about myself: I'm currently 6ft tall weighing in at 180lbs from my high 240lbs. I workout M-F with MWF being lifting days and T+Th being cardio.

I have been eating pretty clean compared to past eating habits and have been on a pace of losing 1lb of fat a week for the past 2 months.

Anyway the main reason I post this is because im terrible when it comes to breakfast. I really quite often just skip it all together I'm just not hungry in the mornings plus im way too lazy to eat much of anything. I know a good portion of my calories should come from breakfast.

I'm wondering what you would recommend for a good meal replacement option I could plug in for breakfast? I'm not looking for oatmeal, or cereal. I need something that I can just chug down when I wake up. A drink mix to put in with milk would be fine also. I realize there are a lot better options but if its not something I can just drink then I just wont stick with it.

Depends on what your goals are right now...

If you're cutting and your "breakfast" will be post-cardio, any old protein shake with some <insert oil/fat of your choice> would be what you're looking for. 35~40 grams of protein, maybe 10~12 grams of fat. Try to keep the carbs minimal on the protein powder you choose.

If you're lifting in the morning, the classic PWO shake, dex/protein is the way to go. No fat in this shake at all.

I'd go option No. 1 if you're not doing anything in the morning.

I agree. I'm cutting and I don't work out until after work, but my mornings consist of:

2 scoops vanilla ATW protein
1 tbsp natural peanutbutter
cinnamon
1 c unsweetened soy milk
3 c water
1 ice cube
----
blender it!

It's a great start to the day, and tasty enough that I look forward to breakfast, which is important!

12g fat
17g carbs (can use water instead of soy milk)
58.5g protein
