I think I may be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out how the nutrition info adds up.
For example, I am looking at the 2800 calories per day file. If I look at the recipe on page 4 for chicken pizza, it says to use just 1.5 ounces of chicken. I can't figure out how you can get 43 grams of protein from that recipe and 433 calories with just 1.5 ounces of chicken and just 2.5 ounces of cheese.
Am I just reading it incorrectly? The same holds for the 1400 calorie per day file. It looks like it calls for very little chicken as well.

It's because the spinach, tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, and pita bread also contain protein, not just the chicken, Parm, and shredded cheese.
Depending on the size of pita you use (5" or 6"), your calories for the pizza will fall between 390-480 calories.
Be happy--you get to have a whole pita. The women using the 1400 calorie version only get a half pita!

I appreciate the response, but I'm still not sure I see the numbers adding up. Let's do some quick calculations:
We can assume that the standard 8 oz. chicken breast has about 50 grams of protein. If this recipe calls for 1.5 ounces of chicken, that would be equal to about 9 grams of protein. The recipe states that it has 43 grams of protein. So that would mean that we would be getting 34 grams of protein from spinach, mushrooms, tomato sauce, 1 pita pocket (with 6 grams of protein) and 2.5 ounces of cheese? There is just no way this can be.
Has anyone else looked at this?

Why don't you plug the ingredients into Fitday.com? That's what I did. The carbs came out high at 50 g, but the protein was right around 42-43 g.
It should only take you 2-3 minutes if you don't mind putting in a bit of effort. And if the numbers still don't come out close enough for you, you can tweak the chicken or cheese amounts in Fitday until they do.
Good luck.

Thanks caustic, I will give it a try. I haven't used fitday before, that is a good idea!
