Having recently had a Gargoyles' week marathon and gaining courage after Supaspic's post on spiderman I feel easier to share my anguish at the stinky third season of Gargoyles! The PAIN!!!!!! The HORROR!!!! Seriously, I think the show was getting waaaaay too political.. They couldn't just leave it the beautiful fairytale that it was and just HAD to start preaching... I was downcast and broken untill I found 2 fan fiction sites that eased the sorrow.
Anybody else here watched/liked that show? :o

You're talking about the Gargoyles cartoon right? I believe it first aired in 1994? If that's what you're talking about I liked it back when I used to watch it.

I loved that show! It starts out as brooding and cool and just goes CRAZY!!! My favorite part is MacBeth and Lady MacBeth actually showing up as evil bounty hunters from the future on flying rocket sleds.
I don't share your distaste for the late seasons; I think they're awesome, but they're obviously very very different from the earlier stuff. It helps that they made all sorts of wacky references to stuff I really loved then (and am still fond of now) - Shakespeare, gnosticism, Arthurian myth, the geography of New York City, and the entire cast of Star Trek: the Next Generation.

You might be, Mason. The show goes through a really major shift from more or less straight down the middle to totally insane. If you missed the later seasons, you probably didn't see the really crazy stuff, like the big Midsummer Night's Dream Corporate Baby Abduction Conspiracy story arc.

WOW! I'm not the only one totally inlove with this show!!! Yay! :D
I LOVED the first two seasons! wacky AND sexy!!! But the third one sorta stipped the gargoyles of their powers... I didn't like it how they al of a sudden had to fight for their lives instead of being the ultimately strong force... :d_frown:
What, no girl fans of Goliath?..... :o
