My daughter has the fever, the headache and the belly ache, but she's not hurling. The wife took her to the doctor yesterday and they told her that it is a virus that is going around.

She's lucky she just has a virus. I have strep throat with a side of an ear infection. Heavy dosage of anti-biotics for me!

I've been sick since yesterday myself. Today my temp got up to around 100 or so, but after taking some Tylenol and a lukewarm bath it's gone down to around 99. It really sucks trying to work while sick, but nobody else in the office knows how to change the time on all our different servers.

Hopefully I can last until Monday morning so I can go see my normal doc. It's sad that I work for a hospital and don't want to go to our ER. I have a $350 ER bill for getting my shoulder looked at and a steroid shot.

I'm guessing it's the new fish John tried.

Fish is one of the easiest things to get sick eating. He eats fish for dinner, the next day he gets sick...my money is on the fish.

Get well soon! :D :tu:

I doubt it's the fish, judging by the description of how he cooked it and how it turned out. Unless John bought the fish out of the back of a van :D

Feel better John! By all means, go to the ER if your stomach feels like it's being expelled from the rest of you.

It's definitely not the fish. I ate the fish, as well.
It's the flu bug. He's still sick this morning... :(

Flu/severe cold.

He mentioned this morning the Theraflu was working. By the way, I highly recommend Theraflu if you haven't tried it. Works wonders and teh nighttime version is the only one that puts me out and then does not wake me at 3a with my heart racing.

Get well soon, John.

John Stone, the man of dedication and perseverance! Still measuring his progress when he's sick as a dog!

Get well : :tu:

Thanks everyone, I'm starting to feel better now. I'm going to take it slow and hopefully I'll be back in full swing in a few days. :)

Yeah at the moment I'm fighting a cold. I decided to try some of that ColdEeeze stuff, its supposed to kill a cold before you get it, but this morning I woke up with the worst sore throat, runny nose, headache of sinus congestion, and writingthis right now is making me dizzy. I know its nothing like what JOhn went through but I thought I'd share my experience. I'm upset though, I missed my last 2 cardio runs, and todays 45 min elliptical. But I also lift later today and Im really Gung Ho about lifting. My internal conflict is, should I just try to beat this cold by staying home and not risk spreading my illness through the gym, OR should I go to the gym and bring some hand wipes and thoroughly clean everything after Im done? Personally I feel like I have wasted 3 days of perfect exercising and am probably going to make the gym, I have to get some exercise in my system or Im just gonna go insane.

Good Luck :gl: with the Illness John, Hopefully mine doesnt form into yours.

Dayquil/Nyquil caps worked really well for me when I had a cold in college. I distinctly remember that because missing any more than a couple days in a 7 week course section could result in failure

It's interesting- I feel fine, but I sound like I've been smoking 12 packs of cigarettes this morning. Yeesh. I hope I'm not getting sick

Glad you're better John, turned out my sickness is bronchitis and a wee touch of pneumonia. So I'm on antibiotics, codeine cough syrup, and an Albuterol inhaler for the next few days. :( I miss the gym. :(
