OK..so we all have our own form of fitness/logging software, but I was curious as to whether anyone uses recipe/food software. I am looking for something that will allow me to make my own recipes, create my own meal plans, and break down my nutrients, as well. I've found several products through Google that seem to fit what I am looking for, but I thought I'd get some advice from any of you, that may already have software as such.

I have wondered the same thing -- Am very close to getting fitday.com's software -- but there are a few drawbacks from what I see compared to using the free version on fitday.com:

1. If I'm on vacation/business trips (near my computer) I can't hop on any computer via internet and log my meals

2. People can't log on and see what I ate for the day

3. I'd most likely have to re-log all my regular foods I eat daily (would take some time...)

If anyone does have the software, let me know -- I'd love to hear it!

Years ago, I bought Weight Watchers Light and Tasty CD. It comes with 2,250 light recipes, with detailed nutrient analysis, and 700 photos and videos. You could also input your own recipes and it would give you the nutrient analysis. It was fun, but I got bored of it after a while. I couldn't just cut and paste from other sources; I had to retype the entire recipe again from scratch, which took quite some time. I didn't use it that much after the first month, but I think it was only $30, about the cost of a cookbook, so I definitely got my money's worth. It's from 1997, so there may be better ones out there by now.

i've been using the fitday software for auite a while. I used the free online version for a while before that. The paid for version is much better. It's quicker and easier to log your food intake etc etc. It doesnt cost much anyway so it's worth a try.
