If I'm on a bulking diet, what do you think of putting 2 scoops of protein powder in a shake instead of just one? This would be around 46 grams of protein.
What do you think about 2 scoops of casein protein before bed instead of one? Is this too much right before bed?

whatever fit's your protein and calorie needs. It's better to have real food blah blah blah....... but I've been taking 2 scoop shakes twice a day for months and i'm on a cut ;)

How does it fit into your plan for the day? Nothing wrong with a 2 scoop shake if that provides the macro's and/or calories that you need for the day.

It fits in great.
I am mostly just worried about the 2 scoops of casein before bed. That seems like a lot of calories/protein to be taking right before going to sleep. It is casein, so it does get absorbed a lot slower, but still, ~45 grams of protein right before sleeping? I don't want to gain a lot of fat.
Although it looks like towards the end of his bulk, John was drinking regular whey protein right before bed and he doesn't seem to have gotten too fat (although he only had one scoop).

I have cut on 2.5 scoops (55g) ATW, so two scoops isn't gonna kill you by any means. I think the upper limit on what the body can absorb at once is around 60g? Not certain, but you definitely don't wanna exceed that unless you just want the calories, as you'll crap the surplus protein out... not to mention that I believe unless you drink tons of water, too much protein can stress your kidneys!

The 45g of Casein before bed is fine. I take 30-45g of cottage cheese protein before bed, and wake up hungry as ever. Your body will use it through the night, as the digestive system itself also slows down when you're asleep. Don't worry about it.
