Alright...the L-carnatine capsules I have say to take them on an empty stomach...
In the morning would be the time when my stomach is "empty"...but I guess my question is...would it be better to take them before or after my workout...since...essentially...they help "convert" fatty acids and such into usable energy...
Thanks for any advice...

Before your workout is recommended, a very good supplement. :tu:

Agreed; take it before. Also, look into liquid ALCAR instead of the capsules. Much more cost effective.

Thanks guys...the more I read about this supplement...the better it sounds...good for brain...cardiovascular system...awesome!!!
With the liquid form...how would you prepare that??? Shove a spoonfull down or prepare it in some sort of smoothie/shake???
BodyBuilding.com suggested 2 - 4 grams before a workout...so...I have 500 mg dose capsules...that means I would have to take between 4 - 8 capsules a day...too much??? Dose recommendation on the bottle suggested one a day...which personally...I believe it to be a little underestimated...

The brand of liquid ALCAR that I use tastes like a very thin cherry syrup and is just fine to be swallowed on its own. One tablespoon equals one gram of L-car. If I were you, I'd take three grams a day - when you wake, around lunch, and around dinner.

Blue can you list the brand or a link? The liquid I had tasted like super-concentrated dextrose and was waaaaaaaaay too sweet, so I picked up capsules from Kent.
The brand of liquid ALCAR that I use tastes like a very thin cherry syrup and is just fine to be swallowed on its own. One tablespoon equals one gram of L-car. If I were you, I'd take three grams a day - when you wake, around lunch, and around dinner.

I love the L carnitine that we get.. I think it's something like Olympic or something like that... I think it has a grape taste though... not cherry like Blue said... and I like the sweet taste... I mix it with protien powder and water and drink it before I go to the gym to do my HIIT in the mornings ;)

I buy it in powder form and just mix a tsp with a drink, works out cheaper.
